I took my elderly mother in for a Covid test on Monday night December 7th about 7:00 pm. We were treated cordially from the receptionist from the moment we walked in the door. The nurse who performed the test was gentle and explained the procedure to my mother. In addition, the doctor was concerned and asked my mother all the appropriate questions. There is no doubt I will use this facility in the future and recommend it to my friends, too. Great experience!

This clinic is rated highly in reviews for their friendly staff

Friendly Staff

I had brought my fiance there today, all day it had to be his birthday and he was already unhappy. The wait was a bit lond and so was the wait for the dr,Dr G Jones. When she cam in with her assistant, things changed because of the kind caring soul she is. He went for one thing and it turn was helped with a few problems that he had,Dr G Jones was great as was her assistant, but to top it off a big guy came in the room and had to give him a couple of shots,he hates needle but " Vince Vaughn" did a great job too,i just said Vince because he looks like him. I dont believe the bad reviews people write on here, this was 2 times and they were great for us.. Love them and they are great providers for us ans the community in which they serve.

First Health Urgent Care provides the best medical service for our community. Corvid 19 safety guide lines are followed here. One is greeted at the front desk professionally and processing you in quickly and is so organized. When your turn comes, you are greeted by someonewho takes your vitals and makes note of what you are there to be checked. You are treated with respect and concern for medical needs by the entire staff who comes into contact with you. You are escorted to a room and before you know it, your medical provider walked in, greets you kindly, listened to why you are there, checks you, explains what is going on with you, how you are going to be treated, sends any prescriptions to your pharmacy, instructs you to follow up with your primary Doctor if needing further treatment or could return there. First Heslth is clean with an atmosphere of wanting to serve everyone with the best health care.

I had gall bladder scan today, it took 1.5 hours. The technician failed to put support under my knees to relieve back strain, when I made her aware of the discomfort she put a small towel under me which was inadequate. I left with quite a backache.

I visited Low Country Urgent Care after a rash developed on my forehead. I received prompt attention and was prescribed medication that solved the problem. My experience was top notch, from a reasonably quick visit, easy payment and then a trip to the pharmacy. Problem solved! Thanks Low Country Urgent Care.

To the Owner: please remember that your front line people represent your Center as a first impression. If you call and the receptionist gives you a negative attitude bbecause you asked a question that required more than a yes or no answer, she sighs and says "ok, I'll check" you already get the impression that this is not a top notch Center willing to find the the information you are requesting without sounding like it is an inconvenience. Is an online check in a feature you offer? I cant tell. Your web site mention in one ad but not another and your staff doesnt mention it. Your front line people must be equally receptive to telephone and in person inquiries. They need to realize that they work for the patient and family foremost. Also, if you have been referred to an online schedule to see which doc or PA or NP is working, then it should be much easier to locate and it should be user friendly to decipher. It is not difficult to design a simple staff schedule intended to assist patients rather than one designed for staff. Since you are listed as primary care, your patients should be able to find out if "their" doctor is on duty, quickly and easily. With a few changes, your Center could be consistently rated 5's. I have been a nurse manager most of my career so I hope you see my suggestions in the positive light they were intended. A little privacy at the check in desk would also be appreciated by most patients. Thank you for providing space for patients & families to comment.

This place is great! I was very upset when Nason’s closed but this is at least as good and they have all my records from Roper too.

Dr Shannon Long is super and you couldn't do better. The nurse was friendly enough but I had very little interaction with her. However, they have Godzilla at the reception area so be prepared. I understand the times we are in with the virus, but there is NO need to be rude and disrespectful !! I am 66 years old and am not used to being barked at in a paying doctors office, I nearly walked out. There are far too many of these type places on almost every corner so she needs to check herself. I did report her to the headquarters in Texas.

Anyone two weeks and older with plans to travel to or live in an area that's at high risk for typhoid, such as South Asia, Latin America and Africa, should receive a typhoid vaccine. If you are planning on traveling from Jacksonboro out-of-country, a typhoid vaccine will be required for entry. You must be vaccinated by injection at least fourteen days before your departure date, or finish your oral vaccination regimen at least a week before your trip.

  • Are video visits available with travel vaccination specialists in Jacksonboro?

While a typhoid vaccine cannot be administered over video, your doctor can evaluate and advise you or your child from your home in Jacksonboro. They can discuss your travel plans, recommend and order necessary vaccinations, and book immunization appointments via telemedicine.

  • How much does a typhoid vaccine cost in Jacksonboro?

Without insurance, a consultation, service fee and the typhoid vaccine doses will typically range from $85 to $300. With preventative insurance, you will end up paying the copay for a consultation and vaccine administration, ranging from $10 to $40. Costs will vary by clinic - book a consultation at a Jacksonboro-area clinic to see how much a typhoid vaccine would cost for you.

  • Is a typhoid vaccine covered by my insurance?

As typhoid vaccines are considered elective, it’s not uncommon that insurance will not cover the cost of the vaccine. However, if your plan includes preventative benefits, the vaccine will usually be covered and you may only need to cover the co-pay out-of-pocket.

  • Are video visits with travel vaccination specialists covered by my insurance?

Telemedicine vaccine consultation coverage will vary depending on your circumstances. Typically, if your insurance will not cover an in-person visit, it won’t cover similar appointments via telehealth. Since the typhoid vaccine is considered elective and in-person visits are not usually covered by medical insurance, it is unlikely video visits with travel vaccination specialists will be covered.
