Friendly Staff

I had brought my fiance there today, all day it had to be his birthday and he was already unhappy. The wait was a bit lond and so was the wait for the dr,Dr G Jones. When she cam in with her assistant, things changed because of the kind caring soul she is. He went for one thing and it turn was helped with a few problems that he had,Dr G Jones was great as was her assistant, but to top it off a big guy came in the room and had to give him a couple of shots,he hates needle but " Vince Vaughn" did a great job too,i just said Vince because he looks like him. I dont believe the bad reviews people write on here, this was 2 times and they were great for us.. Love them and they are great providers for us ans the community in which they serve.

First Health Urgent Care provides the best medical service for our community. Corvid 19 safety guide lines are followed here. One is greeted at the front desk professionally and processing you in quickly and is so organized. When your turn comes, you are greeted by someonewho takes your vitals and makes note of what you are there to be checked. You are treated with respect and concern for medical needs by the entire staff who comes into contact with you. You are escorted to a room and before you know it, your medical provider walked in, greets you kindly, listened to why you are there, checks you, explains what is going on with you, how you are going to be treated, sends any prescriptions to your pharmacy, instructs you to follow up with your primary Doctor if needing further treatment or could return there. First Heslth is clean with an atmosphere of wanting to serve everyone with the best health care.

Extraordinary! Horrifically I’ll, walked into this charming office at 5:30 FRIDAY NIGHT. No cars in the lot, one golf cart. Amazingly, after looking around, a friendly head popped out and gestured is in....the Doc himself. Dr Dave was alone, took my info, gave a a good look, prescribed me three meds and HANDED them to me. No pharmacy visit! Finally, he gave me a card with his phone and said to call him on Sunday (!) if not better. Yikes! Oh how I wish I lived here to join this new kind of medicine practice! My only suggestion would be for the website to identify this service along with the opportunity to purchase the regular medical care offered at a monthly ‘membership’.

This place is great! I was very upset when Nason’s closed but this is at least as good and they have all my records from Roper too.

About Tetanus Shots

A tetanus shot is used to prevent tetanus, also known as lockjaw. Tetanus is a bacterial infection that can lead to painful muscle spasms, and oftentimes, death. Adults in the US have to be vaccinated against tetanus because there's currently no cure for it and roughly 10 to 20 percent of victims die from tetanus. Symptoms of tetanus come from a toxin produced by tetanus bacteria and usually begin appearing about a week after the infection occurs. The most common symptom is muscle stiffness that begins in the jaw and spreads to the neck, arms, legs, or abdomen, but other symptoms include trouble swallowing, headache, fever and sweating, irritability and restlessness, high blood pressure, palpitations, and muscle spasms in the face.

It's important to get treated for tetanus as soon as you know you're infected because if it's not treated quickly enough, you can die from suffocation. Tetanus shots are given in the shoulder muscle. If you've never had a tetanus shot before, you might be given a three-dose primary series. You'll get the first dose as a three-in-one combination called Tdap that prevents tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and diphtheria (Td). The other two doses will usually be a dual vaccine and you'll receive them over a 7 to 12 month period. You should receive a tetanus vaccine between 2 months and 6 years old, as well as a teenager and an adult. Pregnant women might need a tetanus shot during the third trimester of pregnancy.
