A friend of ours recommended Saint Thomas Urgent Care to us a few months ago. This is the 2nd time I’ve taken my kids here. Both times we’ve seen Amanda and both visits were exceptional! All staff were very kind, respectful & gave clear instructions. From the simple online checkin process of filling out everything in advance to being called back within 5min of arrival both times. No one likes going to the doctor, especially when they don’t feel well, but this location made the entire experience more pleasant. So for all of the reasons above, we will be back next time we’re ill. If you’re needing an urgent care clinic in the area, I highly recommend Saint Thomas!

Horrible experience, problem was not solved or even helped.  Doctor seemed very inexperienced...wrote symptoms on a post it note.  Seemed very Confused....then after blood was taken was going to send my 16 year old son off with out any resolution with his extremely sore stomach.....after i stated what do we do about his extremely sore stomach.....the docter them walks back in to say....Oh I thought you already left????? Im like really...you just took his blood and was going to just send him on his way??? We left and went to ER where they immediately took symptoms and diagnosed  with IBS and took blood work to male sure he didnt need surgery and in mean time gave us prescription to relieve his belly pain.  My son left Feeling like the ER doctor as he said...was the GOAT and knew exactly what he was going through......Dont waste money going to this walk in clinic.....Very disappointed!!! Also the reply was very generic

About Tetanus Shots

A tetanus shot is used to prevent tetanus, also known as lockjaw. Tetanus is a bacterial infection that can lead to painful muscle spasms, and oftentimes, death. Adults in the US have to be vaccinated against tetanus because there's currently no cure for it and roughly 10 to 20 percent of victims die from tetanus. Symptoms of tetanus come from a toxin produced by tetanus bacteria and usually begin appearing about a week after the infection occurs. The most common symptom is muscle stiffness that begins in the jaw and spreads to the neck, arms, legs, or abdomen, but other symptoms include trouble swallowing, headache, fever and sweating, irritability and restlessness, high blood pressure, palpitations, and muscle spasms in the face.

It's important to get treated for tetanus as soon as you know you're infected because if it's not treated quickly enough, you can die from suffocation. Tetanus shots are given in the shoulder muscle. If you've never had a tetanus shot before, you might be given a three-dose primary series. You'll get the first dose as a three-in-one combination called Tdap that prevents tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and diphtheria (Td). The other two doses will usually be a dual vaccine and you'll receive them over a 7 to 12 month period. You should receive a tetanus vaccine between 2 months and 6 years old, as well as a teenager and an adult. Pregnant women might need a tetanus shot during the third trimester of pregnancy.
