Dr. “ Jersey Girl” Pagano was OUTSTANDING 😎. Suggestion - check your computer appointment confirmation notice. Had a 1:30 PM appointment via your computer system and arrived early to find that the office was closed for lunch and will reopen at 2:00 PM. You have a pen pail marked “ DIRTY”. Would it be better to use the word “USED”? Linda Yaeger

Decided to visit due to ongoing issues - found the clinic off Google as it was indicated as an Urgent care. Scheduling the appt was easy and quick. I had to reschedule for a later time and was able to do so without any difficulties. The nurse/technician that checked me in and did my initial intake was very welcoming, accommodating, and professional. He also administered the tests I had to take and was very friendly. When drawing my blood, I get squirmish but the technician did it incredibly well! I didn’t feel a thing! I appreciated how the doctor was quick, straightforward and also professional. Will definitely recommend and plan to return for PCP care.

If you find that you need an urgent care center, this place is open on Sundays. I immediately made an appointment this morning, feb 18, 2024. I had to work today, was about 20 minutes late for my appt, and they were so pleasant when I arrived. I thought I had an ear infection; turns out I had a massive amount of ear wax in my left ear. Sarah and Jessica were very friendly and personable. Doctor Courtney was also very thorough. I'll be picking up my prescription at Walgreens tomorrow. Sarah was gentle and she removed so much wax from my ear. What a blessing to have this urgent care center near my job. I highly reccomend this amazing urgent care center.❤🙏

The only thing I did not care for was the receptionist. She was a little snobbish and unwelcoming. However, everything else was very nice.

I was in and out in no time. It’s a fairly new facility. The family nurse practitioner, Emelda, was wonderful. Great bedside manner. Offered options for treatment that she explained very well as to the pros and cons of each. If you live or work in the neighborhood, this is the place to go.

Getting Tested for STDs in Alexandria, VA

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, particularly those with multiple sexual partners or those who do not consistently use barrier methods of protection, such as condoms. This is crucial even if no symptoms are present, as many STDs can be asymptomatic but still harmful if left untreated. According to the CDC, regular testing is particularly important for those under the age of 25, as well as older individuals with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial part of maintaining one's overall health. Early detection can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Moreover, knowing one's STD status can help prevent the spread of these diseases to others. According to the CDC, many STDs can be easily treated and cured, but if left undiagnosed and untreated, can cause long-term health problems.
