I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Labcorp for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This was our second visit to Express. The staff diagnosed a serious blood clot and sent us directly to the ER. I walked in and was seen in 10 minutes and was diagnosed and prescribed 2 medications in another 20 minutes. This is a well run Care clinic and you don’t need to leave Amelia Island. We have their business card in our owners information packet in our condo at Ocean Place.

I walked in and the front desk woman was wonderful. The nurse that took my blood pressure was awesome. The doctor that helped me today is always amazing. I was in and out in no time with a friendly experience throughout it all!

I went in with fractured ribs and what I thought was the flu however, I tested positive for Covid and was told I was high risk and I should go to Cooper Hospital for an infusion. When I got to Cooper ER I told them what Riverside said waited 3 hours in the ER to be seen only to be told since I am on a blood thinner I cannot get the infusion it was high risk for me. I was kept over night by Cooper due to my breathing and the fear I would end up with Covid pneumonia. I was finally sent home with a breathing machine to exercise my lungs and I am quarantined .

I had a great visit. I set up primary care and my provider made sure I got blood work done as part of the process. I hate having blood taken but Christine was really great and made me feel comfortable. I am glad I chose this facility for my care.

My son has extreme anxiety related to medical procedures and is a " difficult stick". He has even required restraining in the past. This am the staff were so kind and skilled his blood draw was completed without any issues. Thank you for your great service.

Last night I realized I should probably check to see if you can still drop in for blood work. So much has changed since COVID. Omg. I made an appointment online and it was so much faster and smoother! No stressful waiting. Nice change! Everyone was great!!

I had no idea this place even existed. A friend told me there was a blood lab in this facility and it is close to my work. I called to make sure they took outside orders (I had an order from my psychologist). They said yes and to come in. I walked in, waited, at most, 5 mins. They called me back, took my blood and I was on my way!!! The service was fantastic! Will definitely recommend and go back!

I had stomach pain, y’all couldn’t really help me. So they kinda just told me this isn’t the place since they don’t do blood and other things. the worker was extremely nice. Just wish y’all told people before hand that you can’t do anything for them for stomach pain.

When I checked in up front I felt the receptionist was dismissive to me.i was for blood work she said use the other window. I mentioned I need to change my insurance she said do it the next time you are in. I ended up changing it when I got my blood work. Had to give a urine test the bathroom was dirty. The toilet had urine on the seat. I felt it was dirty needed cleaning, the floor mopped.

My 12yr old son had to have blood taken and he was not happy about it. She talked to him about it before hand and she talked to him the whole time she was doing it. She did such a good job he didn't even know she had taken it. I'm following her to Amherst the next time he needs to have blood drawn!!!

Wait time 5 minutes. The female doctor was wonderful! She was thorough and informative. She encouraged me to get a blood test at NYU Primary Care. I made an appointment right after. I highly recommend the doctor and the Urgent Care place on Nostrand Avenue.

I had no waiting because I made an appointment the day B4...the gentleman who treated me was professional, knowledge and addressed all my concerns. Everyone from the receptionist at the front desk to the young lady who took my blood pressure were ALL EXTREMELY friendly, caring and patient.. I would recommend anyone to go there.. thank you

The only issue was that the first lady that tried to draw blood stuck me once and missed the artery. She then tried it 3 more times without withdrawing the needle. Then she tried a second spot and missed the artery. She tried one more time without withdrawing the needle and still did not hit the artery. She called in someone more experienced - who was wearing a white coat. I told her to try my other arm since the first one now hurt. She hit the artery on the first try.

This is the best place to have BloodWork done. Staff always professional, very helpful, skilled in their blood draws and friendly. The office and patient areas always clean and well kept. Love the sign in process, so easy after first visit. Wait time varies depending upon time of day but usually not too long.

My previous experiences at this facility was great. However today there was one employee who was very unprofessional. When checking in she the a notepad at me to write my son's name on. She then went on to criticize his name. Then when attempting to draw blood her level of expertise seemed less than acceptable or she did not want to do her job. The other employee that was assisting her jumped in and was able to get the draw.

Had to get blood draw for a surgery. The waiting time was wonderful and the Phlebotomist, Aaron was wonderful. I suffer from extreme anxiety and he was amazing at not only getting the stick on the first try but his demeanor was comforting.

The student training did not do anything well on first needle on my vein which didn’t take. Q( labwork) a big ouch blood spatter. Oop. So the main gal did the next. Thanks goodness. know the student has to learn.

My physician wrote up my orders and all I had to do was walk down the hallway to the laboratory services area. There was hardly any waiting time. The staff who interacted with me were efficient and pleasant. My blood draw was fast and painless. I really appreciated that.

- Verified patient on 7/12

I don’t usually enjoy these procedures, but have to say, Katie the phlebotomist was exceptional! The blood draw was quick and painless, and she was so friendly. She explained the procedure and her schooling requirements to my daughter who was interested and asking her questions. I learned that the collection tubes work as a vacuum! I am grateful for her patience and skill.

- Verified patient on 7/29

The guy who was drawing my blood was very new. I usually get very frustrated by this when they have to poke me twice but he was so so so sweet and nice I was happy he could practice on me.

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Elyria-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Elyria?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Elyria?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Elyria today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.
