Angela, the NP, was fabulous. She put my mom at ease and explained things so she could understand. Sherry kind and caring. I don't remember the nurses name and she was awesome as well.  I always go to Huber Heights Urgent care because of the excellent care we received. Thank you!!

I scheduled an online appointment time. I still had to wait a little bit. I would have thought I’d be taken before the walk in people. But, my care was very good and everyone was very friendly. The nurse even brought me a cup of cold water without my asking. I really like your clinic and the care I got there.

My husband had a late appt Saturday night. He was feeling so bad. Didn’t really wanna go but once we got there he only waited maybe 5 minutes.  We were out in 20 minutes or less. Seth was great.  Prescriptions sent to pharmacy would highly recommend the Beavercreek location.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Labcorp for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Appt was at 10:40. I walked in, was immediately greated by a very friendly nurse who escorted me to an exam room. She entered information about my illness and insurance into the computer and processed my co-pay. Another nurse took my temp, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen level. Very soon after, the doctor came in to discuss my symptoms and examed my ears, nose, throat and breathing. She discussed medicine options to decide best approach for me to proceed. She ordered prescriptions from my chosen pharmacy and sent me on my way. It was my best overall experience with seing a physician. No delays in waiting room or exam room. Fast friendly service that involved my thoughts on the decision on the treatment chosen!

I enjoyed talking with my phlebotomist. I warned her how sometimes when I have a blood draw before fasting I can pass out, and she was incredibly comforting. She checked in on me throughout the process to make sure I was okay and told me to eat the granola bar I brought to see if I feel 100% before leaving her room. Getting blood drawn isn’t fun, but my phlebotomist made it enjoyable enough.

Staff was beyond wonderful. I went in twice today; first to confirm a miscarriage, and the women I came into contact with made me feel much more relaxed. It’s hard bring any positivity out of a situation like that, but your staff absolutely did. The second time I came in, the staff remembered me, and made conversation with me while I was getting subsequent blood drawn, making me even more comfortable after I had just received the bad news. Never thought it I would be recommending one specific Compunet location to all my friends and family, but here I am :)

Was not impressed today. No problems in the past, but today was different. I didn't get the Tech's name, but she had long, curly red hair. Tied band around arm too tight, when I complained she untied and basically retired too tight again. I stated that it had never hurt like this before and she said it's supposed to be tight. After gathering the viles needed she started to insert the needle and I reminded her she hadn't used alcohol. She argued that she had, hesitated and then stated that the swab was on the floor when she'd missed the garbage can. She never smiled, didn't even make eye contact with me, no small talk...flat affect. Just asked my name and birthday before and after taking blood. There was no one else around that I could see and no other patients at the time I was there. Next time I'll use this CompuNet again, but if she's the only one there...I'll leave and go to a different location.

All staff was pleasant, so happy I didn’t have to wait because of my severe pain. The lady who drew my blood was excellent, got it on the first try and it didn’t hurt at all, thankful to staff and CompuNet Melody Gibbons

I came in 20 minutes before closing. The staff was very pleasant and treated me very well. My own Dr's office was not able to get my blood work so I made a trip to this particular Compunet because they are always able to draw my blood in an efficient manner.

I only had to wait 5 minutes to get in. The lady who took care of me was very friendly and good at what she did. Drew blood, no pain and only a pinprick mark. I would love to have her draw blood for me all the time. I liked the Nemo stickers in her office😀

The two ladies that complete my bloodwork are professional and courteous. I've been going there for years and its nice to see a friendly face. It can get very hectic there but they manage to pull it off with their smiles and laughter and fun quizzes they post on the board. I appreciate you.

The staff was very friendly and professional! Very little wait time. I made an appointment so the sign in process was very easy. I am not an easy blood draw and the ladies were very kind! I would highly recommend this lab!

Jillian went way above and beyond to call my doctor office several times to obtain the orders necessary to draw my blood today. If it wasn’t for her persistence and professional manner my services would not been completed. Thank you so much for talking such good care of me today!

I try to get a COVID test today, I have downloaded the app and ask me to check in once I arrived. My appointment is 12:20pm and I checked in at 12:00pm, and app told me no one in front of me, but no one calls me in as well, I thought they will text me when is my turn. So I wait in my car. Until the time, still no text messages or nothing, so I walked in. And the rep seems like don’t even know I have an appointment today, and keep asking me all different questions, like are you Anna, I am like no, I am xx. And she is asking r you get vaccines today, I said no, I am here for testing. And she keep asking all other questions on the form which I already filled out on the web. I just wondering the app not really communicating to the clinic, so the rep keep asking me all the same questions again. The second thing is once I sit in the little office, the nurse instead measuring my height and weight, she asking me what is my height and weight to fill out the form. So I provided the answer. She tried to measure my blood pressure, and the number not coming out, and at the end she gave up, and didn’t have my blood pressure. The last thing is when I sit in the little office to wait for my result since I order the rapid test. I saw the sink is dirty with all the water spot on the surface. The one time use ear measurements not full and no one filling up. And the doctor walked in at the end to do a summarize, and her white coat is actually very dirty with black and yellow color around the pockets areas. She probably wear it for a while. But the test results turn out with in 15min, and I am negative. This is what I want to know.

Sofia was professional and accommodating when there was a problem with the script as written by my doctor. She was very considerate of my time and completed taking my blood and working to get the clarification from the doctor without delaying me. She also followed up with a call to me to let me know the doctor office had returned her call and everything was completed. I appreciate her extra care and consideration.

My phlebotomist was awesome we chatted briefly about her little grandchildren and her vision board next to where we have to do the under pleasant deed of drawing blood. She did a terrific job I was in an out very quickly so that my husband was not disgruntled LMAO.

There were several pts. ahead of me when I arrived @ 7:30 this morning. Check -in using the "I pad " on the wall went fairly quickly. Patients were processed quickly & rapidly had their labs drawn. The tech that drew my blood did a great job ( I'm not always an easy stick ) & she was very professional & personable.

- Verified patient on 5/6

The staff made my visit very simple and easy. The facility was very clean and orderly. The actual procedure of drawing my blood was done very professionally with minimal pain and friendly attitude thanks to the young lady who did the work. I would definitely recommend CompuNet clinical laboratories to my family and friends.

They didn’t check my throat ears. The dr stood at a distance n didn’t even examine me. Was diss appointed in their service. Another time that I went it was excellent care. N not even blood work to see if I was dehydrated.

- Verified patient on 11/19

Everyone was very friendly and competent. I just don’t understand why Compunet doesn’t have more than one technician drawing blood, as in the mornings, there is always a wait time. Hire an extra person for a few hrs in the morning! They were very efficient despite the number of people waiting.

Great people working here. Came here for some testing and didn’t realize it involved getting blood drawn. For some unreasonable reason I’ve always had a phobia of needles, especially blood drawn/IV. Been avoiding this stuff for a long time. Today I had to finally cross that bridge and deal with it. I was as nervous as I’ve ever been, but everyone was understanding about it. The male physician( Ramal?) was the most helpful. He did the blood work himself and pretty much held my hand during this. It was easy, didn’t really feel a thing. In the end, he helped me cross that bridge and I’m very thankful for it. It may seem like nothing, but this was a big deal for me. You guys helped me get through this silly fear. Thank you.

From the moment I walked into your facility I was greeted professionally, courteously , and kindly by Trish. When nurse Jasmine saw me she was also patient, kind and Caring. Jasmine had to take blood. She did a fabulous job! Jasmine was able to find my vein on her first attempt and did not hurt me. While swabbing my nose for the COVID test jasmine was extremely gentle. When Dr. Davis saw me he was fantastic ! Dr. Davis was patient, caring and extremely professional . He asked me many questions about my symptoms and how I was feeling. Dr. Davis checked my throughly. Dr. Davis explained what I was experiencing and made me feel very comforted. After I left your facility Dr. Davis called me as a follow up on when I should expect the results of my blood, urin test and my COVID test. Two days after my blood samples were taken Dr. Davis called me with my results. Again Dr. Davis reviewed my test results and explained each of my test results. I highly recommend using your facility and your staff! Respectfully a very satisfied patient

The technician stuck me once and couldn't get in. She stuck me again and said that I must be a bleeder. I've never bled before. She drew blood and then put cotton and a bandaid on. Later that evening I noticed a dark raised bruise at the site of the needle and more bruising in the area. By the next day the bruising was worse and covered an area the size of my fist. At this moment the swollen bruise has gone down and the rest of the bruises are started to fade. My arm looks terrible. I have never experienced this before and I have blood drawn twice a year for the past 15 years.

The facilities was nice even under construction. Dr. Gopal was amazing. She was easy to talk to and made sure I was comfortable with what we discussed before I left the office. I also had to get blood work in the lab and all the medical staff there was great at greeting the patients and getting them in and out. I definitely would recommend my friend and family to UH.

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Vandalia-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.

Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.
