I usually come here for medical needs. I love that everyone is very friendly. Except wasn’t happy that my phone appointment was originally at 4pm and I didn’t get a call from the provider until 5:10pm.

Sparkling Clean

I was very disappointed because my appointment was for an x-ray and the x-ray machine was broken and has been for some time. No one bother to let me know that it was broken so the appointment was a waste of time

I don’t understand the point of scheduling an appointment only to be placed behind people that literally just walked in to the office. I understand that stuff was backed up but if I already had an appointment set up that should’ve been honored. Nobody had severe burns or some crazy injury. Yet I was sitting there with a 102 fever for 2 hours till they finally called my name. Also seemed like the nurses checking me in were more on top of things than the actual doctor that walked in and walked me out (basically pushing me out) in the span of 2 minutes.  Aside from that the actual front staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had.

My worse nightmare of needing an urgent care visit on a Saturday at 6pm. Surprisingly I found Carbon Health Urgent Care with several appointments available. The checkin as a first visit was so easy and I was seen IMMEDIATELY. The physician was attentive, thorough and so friendly. The checkout was amazing, she helped me find a 24 hour pharmacy to get my prescription

I was referred to "AME" Medical Group Urgent Care by my health insurance provider member services representative, since my primary care physician wasn't able to set an office visit for me until sometime in Jan. 2025 (more than a month long wait). I was able to do a same day walk-in appointment at "AME" within an hour of calling their medical office to check their office hours. Aleta had me do a quick self check-in via solvhealth app. Dr. Khanlou was great! He asked a few questions regarding my health issue and made a diagnosis and ordered the medications I needed immediately and arranged for me to pick up the Rx's at my preferred neighborhood pharmacy. I highly recommend Dr. Khanlou. He is very nice and provides the best patient care!

My ONLY complaint- which CAN be managed is that there should be, at the facility and at the end of filling out the online appointment (especially where it involves Covid testing) - that you can be waiting up to an hour (as I did) for a Covid PCR test - and you would see a nurse first, then a dr, then finally a nurse so as to understand the wait (we as patients/clients could then better manage our own appointments without feeling anxious or upset at staff) - and if it’s a Rapid Covid test - the time is quicker (maybe 30 minutes) . So since I brought my teen with me and naively thought I would be in and out in 15 min tops, he killed the car battery while listening to the radio- and I had to wait another 30 min for AAA service - etc. (I know- not the fault of the clinic- actually the staff was nice enough to let my kid use the bathroom while waiting for me.

I had to do a consult and visit for tests. The staff and physician was very nice, patient, and understanding. Thank you all for your help during this crazy busy time.

Made an appointment for a COVID-19 test for travel. I selected AFC because it is not far from my house. I’m glad i did. Luckily it wasn’t busy and I was able to get my test quickly and I got my results for travel within a few hours via email. Thank you!

I had an appointment for a covid test. I received several email reminders. 10 minutes before my appointment I received text instructions to checking on my arrival. I also received a phone call from a human with detailed instruction. I remained in my car and was greeted and verified test type. Then staff collected the sample.

Waited and hour outside for a rapid Covid test. Had to call 3 times to remind them I was in my car waiting. I understand things run behind, but we are talking about a 30-second swab and being done. Better time management is needed here.

Ruby is very rude. But the doctor is excellent. Not something I’d like to say but Ruby has terrible manners at the front desk. Dr. Michelena is a great doctor. I have to be honest with the review. Ruby can always be replaced with someone else, but the doctor was terrific. Thanks for covering all aspects of testing for my health. I really appreciate it.

AFC staff was amazing. Any time I called in (over 20 times) to understand the process of getting tested for Hawaii travel, each staff member was very patient with my questions and thoroughly explained. Enjoyed my experience with them and feel at ease with my trip now.

- Verified patient on 5/30

Great! I was under time pressure for a COVID test. The vaccine is everywhere but testing remains elusive. The clinic hours accommodated my work schedule which other clinics don’t. The Walgreens and CVS websites were not user friendly to my age group (older). It really took the pressure off as I am beginning nursing school.

Visit for COVID-19 testing for travel. No lines, minimal wait time, overall a very efficient process. I got my results back the same day as my test and I am within the 72 hour timeline for boarding my flight to Hawaii! Aloha Hawaii. Mahalo AFC!

- Verified patient on 5/10

The Valencia AFC location was excellent. Nikki was amazing and thoughtful. Testing covid with a 5 year old was not complicated at all, Nikki made sure it was quick and efficient. Davy was also very help when I called to seek information as we were traveling to Hawaii and needed a test.

- Verified patient on 11/17

The process to get my covid rapid test was painless and simple. There was even a 3 year old patient ahead of me who got swabbed. The staff made him feel completely comfortable. It was quick be easy and I was on my way. And that’s the best part no waiting and quick and efficient service. And my service was booked on line recommended by one of your medical assistance named Aurion.

Drive up rapid covid test was a pleasant experience considering my entire family was worried. Very easy to make online appointment and safe drive up test. Results were promised and delivered within 15 minutes for 4 people. Highly recommend.

- Verified patient on 1/15

I had problems with the on-line registration, but and her co-worker took the time and effort to make sure I got tested. Thank you so much Ann. You made stressful experience manageable.

- Verified patient on 8/31

It was great. Noreen and Abby were wonderful! Noreen really did beyond and more when she helped me with my covid test. She knew I'm deaf and she tried SO hard to do ASL for me to be able to understand her. Abby was GREAT too. Texting me the entire time instead of calling because she knew I would struggle on the phone. I definitely recommend this place! Noreen and Abby, you guys are WONDERFUL!

- Verified patient on 1/23

The wait time was pretty long. I had to get out of my car for them to come give us the Covid test. I called four times because nobody showed up for 45min. Then a doctor came out so I asked for the test. She was very friendly. When I finished the test I went home and waited about 45 min so I decided to call them to see if the test was done they said it was. They never called me to tell me the results

Hawaii Covid test. Coming to this location saved us hours in travel time. There was about a 30 minute delay but our family was scheduled together. And there were apologies for the waits. Everything after this was wonderful!!!! Tesr came back timely! The nurse who tested us was pleasant. Thank you

The provider who saw my son ( Jennifer Ng NP ) was very nice to let me know the result of his test right away so I don’t have to worry too much. I greatly appreciate the medical care and concern .

Everyone was very nice. To the lady doing the swabs outside. Thank you for being so nice and understanding and going the extra mile to make sure I didn’t need any additional tests. To the lady that took my call, thanks for being so nice and helping me get connected to the doctor. I know this is a busy time for all of us. Your office is going beyond the limits of caring for your patients and it shows. Thank you Just two suggestions: need a light at the table so the nurse can see the documents better at night and perhaps listing a phone number on the door so we (the sick) can call when we arrive and not enter the waiting room. Just trying to be safe for others. Thank you all

My whole experience was great! Everyone was so sweet and helpful. I needed a rapid test urgently for a flight and they helped me with ease. Will definitely come back here if I need another covid test.

- Verified patient on 6/7

Overall great experience. Been there before. Wait time was a little long for an early saturday morning. Its a tad frustrating to check in and be there and have 3 people checked in online but not there and be stuck behind them. Additionaly, there should be a seperate area for covid tests as opposed to being lumped in with people that need to be seen or treated. Just a few thoughts on the wait experience. I do like the phone notification so you can wait in your car. Everything is a work in progress I suppose. Overall really great, like the staff and facility.

- Verified patient on 4/19

Well done Henry Mayo! I’ve been tested four times for COVID and this was my best experience. Although I was positive. . . Your facility by far is the best place to test!

Santa Clarita Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
