I cut my leg badly a couple of days ago and needed help asap! I immediately thought of the closest Urgent Care on Valley Forge Rd. and Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale. I was a walk-in and there were a couple of sick children ahead of me so they immediately got me to a private room where I wouldn't be exposed to germs and cleaned my leg while I waited for the on-duty physician's assistant, Catherine Moran. She was attending to those ahead of me but came in to evaluate my injury and informed me that the wound would require stitches. When she finished with the others, she attended to me and did an outstanding job! Not only was the stitching painless but the quality of her handiwork was fabulous! She was calm and reassuring as were the nurse who performed the preliminary duties (blood pressure, information gathering, etc.) and staff. I was impressed with the competence of everyone involved and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need! Thank you to all of the staff who helped me!

The staff was so nice. It was very easy. I had at least 25 tests in different locations and this one is the best. I’m constantly exposed to covid patients and had the virus back in December. I hope this facility will remain with the same staff.

This was an in and out experience and it was fantastic! Here I thought we'd be waiting in a big line for awhile, and there was no line at all. Do leave some extra time for parking, but besides that, getting my son a Covid test here was super quick and easy.

- Verified patient on 10/10

Person doing covid test check in could be friendlier. Person administering test exceptionally friendly to my 15 year old daughter and went out of her way to show me how to setup account to receive results

Excellent Excellent Excellent This site knows what they are doing. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. I love the venue they set up and contactless test. What a difference from having covid test in July. Great job Montgomery County.

Your Covid test centers are amazing. The staff is fabulous. They are Both kind and knowledgeable. I have had for Covid test at two different locations and was so impressed each time. Thank you thank you thank you for all you do! You truly are wonderful

The ladies at this site were amazing! Friendly, swift, professional, and informative. It was a great experience- easy and quick, and a supportive and fabulous staff. I would highly recommend going there for anyone needing a test.

- Verified patient on 4/23

I did not know what to expect. When I arrived the staff told me what line to stand in. When I met with staff they clearly told me what to do and how to preform the test. I was done 15 minutes. No

It was so easy. Called in,,, The lady ,, Amanda,,, was super kind and very helpful. My wife wasn’t feeling well. Amanda got us set up .... And we got tested within the hour. So simple So quick So helpful..... Not like the _ _ _ pharmacy ordeal . Perfectly smooth Simple Pleasant The staff on site was just as kind. Thank you

I used this location to get checked for COVID previously. It was good then and better now. The only problem was a shortage of parking spaces. I got there exactly on my reserved time. My driver had to go around the block to find parking. There was no line and everyone was friendly and totally professional. They watched me do the test and then had me return the swab without contaminating it.

Young lady at window was discourteous. Seemed like she did not want to be there. Was put off when being asked to repeat (mask, plexiglass and traffic impact) instructions. I would have rated her a 1 if I was just rating her. Thought the county would have solved this by now with an inexpensive amplification mic and speaker. Best part: test was quick.

I just walked up to registration and proceeded with the covid test. It was all done in a matter of two minutes. And this is all done outside. No need to enter the facility. It was great.

- Verified patient on 11/3

I have been to this Covid testing facility more than once and each and every time the staff is professional, efficient and friendly. They could not make a difficult situation any easier and I thank them for that.

Should have just waited for the snow day to pass and have come here on Tuesday instead of going to CVS on that snowy Monday when the Montgomery County clinics were closed! CVS was pretty impersonal, the directions for the packaged test materials were very unclear, and I waited 3 days only to get an inconclusive result! Not here, though! These wonderful people at Montgomery County, however, are on the ball! Night and day difference! This was the second time I've been tested here. The first was in December due to a possible exposure from someone who helped my husband and I move. And this time, it was simply because my best friend lives in an over-65 life-plan community which has nearly everyone there now vaccinated but is requiring immediate family to either quarantine for 10 days or have a negative test within 72 hours of a visit. And I hadn't had lunch with her since mid-November. She just had a knee replacement and hasn't been able to drive. I am almost 40 and healthy, but the isolation at home here with my husband is really crushing me, even though I'm grateful he is here with me and I'm not totally alone. I've been unemployed for almost 8 years, and not for lack of trying. Anyway..... The staff here is wonderful. They give very clear instructions, are very caring and kind, and even seemed to have taken my suggestions from the last feedback about putting a clear check-in sign up over one window and having a designated spot for one person at a time to self swab outdoors! Best of all, both times I've gotten (thankfully negative) results back within only 24 hours or even less! Will definitely come back here when I want to visit my friend again. And I will *only" go here from now on! Lol! Great job!

It was easy to make an appointment and we were at the testing site for only a few minutes. They were very nice and gave clear instructions. They verified name and birthday a few times which I appreciate.

This Covid testing site has the best employees and is professionally run. I’m very grateful that Montgomery County has decided to keep this option for its residents and employees. Many other counties have zero reliable fast options to get tested. THANK YOU

- Verified patient on 1/21

So quick & easy, seemed safe for people needing to get tested as well as staff. In and out in under 3 minutes which is phenomenal. No out of pocket cost. Would recommend to anyone needing to be tested or use again if the need should arise.

- Verified patient on 10/27

Awesome. The two young ladies working were so fast and efficient. I've gotten tested here about 3 or 4 times now and that was by far the fastest I got through. Literally took no more than 1 minute.

- Verified patient on 2/23

The employees at the booth were very friendly. The instructions they gave were crystal clear and they would make sure you understood what they wanted before they moved on. As far as testing goes it was a pleasant experience.

This is by far the most efficient covid test center I’ve been too. Tell the Grapefruit Testing center in Ambler how you do it because there site is ridiculous. Always at least an hour wait even with an appointment!

- Verified patient on 1/3

Was having some strange symptoms and my wife was convinced I should get a Covid test. Was able set up account, make testing appointment, go to testing appointment and be back home in less than one hour. Was told results would take 2-3 days but they were available in 24 hours. Very pleased with the whole process!

Norristown Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
