I woke up this AM with UTI sx. My insurance sent me to Tran Urgent Care. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of scheduling, the care, and the prompt care as well. I would like to see an improved patient portal experience. The provider and staff were kind and knowledgeable.

This clinic is rated highly in reviews for their friendly staff

Friendly Staff

Very easy to schedule appt for a same day. Was surprised by the fact that they are paperless and in order to view anything you have to download their app. It’s been 2 days and still no results, as for the medication you have to go on the appt and send it your self to the pharmacy otherwise you will not get it. Overall it was a good visit but it could have improved on some things for sure.

I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

I haven't gotten my test results back yet but I'm pretty sure I have a common cold. I decided on my way home from work yesterday that I should get a test just to be safe. I have never gotten one and I thought it would be a lot more difficult than it was. I called the number given, the lady from customer service took my info from me and sent me to the nearest location, where they would be prepared for me. I just had to show my ID and they knew exactly who I was. There was no wait time, I drove right up to the testing station. The swab was not nearly as invasive as the ones you may have seen on the internet. The person administering the test explained how to retrieve my results and said they would be ready within 24 hours. That is much faster turn around than I expected. Fingers crossed it's just a cold.

Our daughter booked our appointments over the phone and got us same day appointments. Got there 20 minutes before our appointments. The line was short we didn't have to get out of the car. We were in and out with 2 tests done within 5 minutes. Very nice polite staff from the guy way down at the other end of the parking lot where you come in at. To the people that took our information and those that gave us our tests. Excellent service and very well functioning set up. We were on the road home 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment. We were quite impressed!

CVS confirmed my appointment and I drove 40 minutes to find out they don’t even test! But they told me about this spot and I pulled up and was in and out in less than 5 minutes (maybe 10 but it felt fast). The girl who put in all my information was so patient and I was honestly surprised as someone who works in customer service that she didn’t even sound annoyed at the end of the day. There was one car in front of me. Someone came out to me right away to tell me how to get my results, maybe 1-2 minutes later someone came out to give me a vial and then a very patient kind man did my test! And results in less than 25 hours!! I tested so I could travel but I would drive 40 minutes out of my way to go to this spot again. 100x better than Kaiser!

The process was quick, simple, and efficient. I was checked in, in line, tested for COVID and on my way within minutes. I had never been tested before and the staff gave me a quick review of what would happen and how to get my results which was very easy to understand. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and efficient. In fact, everyone was so considerate that they even helped me with a non-healthcare related problem. There was a trash bag in the road while I was driving to the testing site that I couldn't avoid and got stuck underneath my car. Three different staff members noticed and informed me of the trash underneath my car while I was waiting in line. Thankfully there was a police officer there who helped get the trash out from under my car once I was done being tested. The staff even helped clean up some of the mess and gave me gloves so I could help too. Overall, it was a great experience and I was really impressed by their entire team not only as healthcare workers, but as caring community members helping out their fellow human!

I’ve been to this testing location 3 times now, and every time they have been great! They walk you through everything that they are going to do and make sure you have the info you need to get your results. The test itself is not as evasive as other tests. They only swab in your nasal passage and not all the way to your BRAIN. Everyone is always super nice and accommodating plus the process is always a quick one, especially if you you schedule ahead online. Most of these worker are volunteers too. Highly recommended location to get tested!

I had an appointment, I was signed in by a friendly staffer then guided to the testing tent. There I was greeted by a young man who was kind and efficient. I waited less than 5 Minutes and the woman came up to test me, introducing herself, explained the process and asked if I had questions. She swabbed my nostrils , explained how I can check my results and if I came back positive then I would be contacted by the health department. She again asked if I had any questions and dismissed me. I came across 3 Staffers and they were all friendly and made me feel comfortable with a total time of about 7 minutes.

I came in there nervous and a little confused about how it worked. There was a police officer that directed me he was so friendly and he sent me around the corner to another guy who gave me a sheet of paper and explain how that worked and he was so friendly like they were Angels or something. I went around the corner and I follow the procedure was able to get in in like 5 minutes so I went back to the thing and there wasn't even a line they directed you every single person emanated compassion. The woman who actually did the test I told her I was a little scared she was so patient so sweet I felt heard and cared for to the whole procedure and it was very quick and I completely understood everything that I was supposed to do to find out my results I was so nervous about this whole procedure and the nose swab is not a picnic but this woman made it is easy and comfortable and calming as it could be their Angels over there and they have so much compassion thank you guys for all you're doing for us putting yourselves on the front line you're all awesome

At the start of the Covid testing, I wondered if the sites would be ready for the numbers of testings to be done. They have done remarkably well. They have maintained a level of caring and professional integrity that I think is applicable to all Medical Care Providers in this state. I worked for 14 of 42 years in Nursing in this state. I thank all of those who planned these testing sites, the Police Professionals, those who guided us to the correct directions to the sites, and those who cleaned, emptied garbage and worked or volunteered in any capacity. Thanks to all of the cities, where the sites are located. If I left anyone out, please forgive me. All of you are appreciated.

The care & service provided to me from the staff was very good! I felt welcomed, and the staff’s attentiveness to my questions & concerns made feel important. Also, I appreciated that the service was completed quickly. There are 2 things that would have made my experience better; 1) Place BIG signs to the Testing entrances out closer to the road where approaching traffic can see & read the sign in full & in time to enter your facility. Personally, I didn’t notice the signage until it was too late to turn into the entrance. 2) Provide parking spaces and a restroom facility (or at least directions to find these needed items close by). Please considerate those who have challenges in regard to walking long distances, or getting to their vehicles quickly enough to drive to a place that allows public restroom usage.

I was throughly impressed by how organized and friendly the staff was! It was my first time getting a COVID test so I was nervous, but I was greeted so kindly and was given a simple and clear explanation on the process. The staff was incredibly nice and I felt comfortable the entire time. The website used to make the appointment was very easy to use. One recommendation to the website would be to allow the user to mark multiple options under the "race" category :). Also, everytime you refresh the page, there would be different time slots available each time. I don't know if this was a glitch, or people just cancelling their appointments a lot though.

Even though the wait time was 45 minutes for my most recent test, that is just because of the situation our state is in. The wait time was not due to any inefficiencies by the staff, it was just due to the amount of people who wanted a test. There was plenty of staff working to the max, and everyone was friendly. I have used the Federal Way Aquatic Center on several occasions to get tested for flights out of the country, and more recently just because I wanted a check. I would highly recommend this location. The staff are great, organized, friendly, and efficient. I feel very fortunate to have a free testing site right in my neighborhood. Thank you King County! Do everyone a favor and book your test in advance. That helps the staff move people through more quickly. I book on-line every time. It takes 2 minutes. Wear a 3-ply surgical mask everywhere. Good luck everyone!

It was super easy! I registered and made an appointment at 11:05. AM for an appointment at 11:15. I was late by about 10 minutes and still was greeted with a smile. The first two Samoan gentlemen were friendly and professional and made me feel at ease when I had no clue of what I was doing. They checked me in then sent me to lane two. I was then approached by a lady and a firefighter at the lane. The lady double checked my info and the firefighter did my swab. He was so gentle with me. He gave me two tissues to blow before the test. He didn’t go all up in my nasal cavity like my very first test. Overall, it was quick and easy and fast and now I will be able to return to my job as a healthcare worker sooner than later. Thank you king county free testing!!!

I have Been nothing but horrified to receive a covid testing. But from the first person I talked To at this free testing facility, I knew It was going to be a comfortable and caring experience. I honestly Wish I got a few of the team mates names so I could Mention them individually, but Forgot to ask. I was Scared it was going to hurt and the man testing me was very nice and funny and made me feel very comfortable and I didn’t even notice any discomfort during the test. If I, for any unfortunate reason have to get another covid test, this will be the location I will Be at. I will Recommend this location to anyone who asks about a covid test facility. Thank you so much federal way covid test center <3

I wasn't feeling well when i pulled up to the drive thru testing area; thinking that the staff must be tired of the long lines and possibly Covid people. But i was pleasantly surprised that there was more than one line, and that the lines moved quickly, with helpful staff placed three times per line to answer any and all questions. When receiving the actual test, everything was thoroughly explained and the person made me feel very comfortable. When finished, i was handed an informational flyer on how to, and when to, obtain my results. The overall experience receives five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s from me. Thank you, Devin Ulivas

I had to get tested four times in the past two weeks due to an exposure. Every time I visited, I was so surprised to see how the staffs are friendly, well-organized, and very helpful. I was pretty worried about how it would hurt to get tested when first visiting, and surprisingly, after all my friends complaining their experience in testing, it NEVER hurt me. They were very kind to answer my questions regarding the next steps I need to take and even when I am approximately going to get the result back. I have been strongly recommending this specific location to my family members, coworkers, and other people I know. I really appreciate all your effort in keeping the testing experience less overwhelming with all the craziness due to the pandemic.

I made an apt prior to going. Once I got to the facility there was a long line. A young lady came up to my car and asked me some questions and handed me a paper to give to the staff once I was under the tents to get tested. The staff asked me some questions validating my info and handed me the swob to insert into my nose myself. This was a relief as I as nervous about them inserting it too far. Was an easy and good experience. Would use them again when needed.

Fantastic! I’ve been tested around 6 times since all of this started, gone to 4 different test sites and after coming to this one I decided I would use this as my primary go to. Have been to this location twice now. Wait time is none, tents and all set up is spaced out and organized very well; all staff has been friendly and a lot of them even cracked jokes. The test done didn’t murder my nose and for that I was the most grateful! I’ve recommended coworkers, friends and family to go to this specific location because of all the above reasons (especially the nose and wait time part). Staff is doing a great job, thank you all for your service, your time and energy, all rockstars at this location! (Other locations people are friendly but this one people are friendly and humorous and that little extra goes a long way during such a stressful time in the world)!!

While I understand the nasopharyngeal tests are uncomfortable, this one was very painful. I’ve had a previous test that was nowhere near as uncomfortable as the one I had yesterday. The previous provider who performed my test talked me through it and gave tips on how to relax to make the test as comfortable as possible. I didn’t not have that yesterday and felt more empathy and sensitivity to how painful the test can be could have been given. I am a healthcare provider myself and work hard to be empathic and careful in procedures that I know to be painful with my patients.

No one wants to have to get a COVID test, but coming to your facility has been fantastic. Your people are great, they’re knowledgeable, you have a GREAT set-up for managing testing. And equally important your results are reliable and timely. There people are great. Combined, this all makes it so easy and seamless. I can’t tell you how much we, as a family, have appreciated coming to this facility when we have to get tested. And I recommend it to others! Your team could contribute a lot toward improving COVID vaccination and booster shots! That system is broken and I wish it worked as smoothly as yours.

- Verified patient on 12/2

The staff at the Federal Way location is the absolute best! They were very understanding of my situation and the whole experience was smooth and quick. On the other hand, the Auburn location refused to to take my appointment because I was a few minutes late due to getting lost. They informed me that they were closing; however, the federal way location told me that they should’ve closed at a later time—1pm instead of 12:30pm. All in all, I am glad that someone was able to help me and I am extremely grateful for the staff at the federal way covid testing center.

Federal Way Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
