Urgent care
Lab testing
My worse nightmare of needing an urgent care visit on a Saturday at 6pm. Surprisingly I found Carbon Health Urgent Care with several appointments available. The checkin as a first visit was so easy and I was seen IMMEDIATELY. The physician was attentive, thorough and so friendly. The checkout was amazing, she helped me find a 24 hour pharmacy to get my prescription

I don’t understand the point of scheduling an appointment only to be placed behind people that literally just walked in to the office. I understand that stuff was backed up but if I already had an appointment set up that should’ve been honored. Nobody had severe burns or some crazy injury. Yet I was sitting there with a 102 fever for 2 hours till they finally called my name. Also seemed like the nurses checking me in were more on top of things than the actual doctor that walked in and walked me out (basically pushing me out) in the span of 2 minutes.  Aside from that the actual front staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had.

My visit today was really good. I was pleasantly surprised to see an opening for today. Of course I took it, the wait time wasn’t too bad considering that it is an urgent care and can sometimes take time. But it went by fast and I was able to make it in time to pick up my child. Thank you staff and provider for being on top of things.

Pain from Sciatica had become unbearable. I wasn't able to schedule an appointment with my doctor, but I went online to Carbon Health's website and had no trouble booking an appointment. I was seen on time, the facility was clean & comfortable, the check-in process was hassle free, and the young lady at the front desk was polite and professional. Dr. Upton was a tremendous help to me. In addition to being able to prescribe the right medication for my condition, she advised me regarding lifestyle changes that might be beneficial. Above all - SHE LISTENED to me! I would certainly recommend this location to my friends and neighbors.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the virus should get tested for hepatitis. This includes people who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, or have come into contact with infected blood. It's also important for those who have traveled to countries where hepatitis is common to get tested. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, commonly known as baby boomers, are also at a higher risk and should be tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent liver damage and other complications. It can also help prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not have symptoms and do not know they are infected, so testing is the only way to know for sure.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Los Angeles

Los Angeles has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the years. According to the CDC, Los Angeles County reported a higher number of hepatitis cases compared to nearby counties such as San Diego County and Orange County. This could be due to a variety of factors, including population density and access to healthcare services.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Los Angeles

Risk factors for hepatitis in Los Angeles include drug use, unprotected sex, and exposure to infected blood. The city's large population and diverse demographic can also contribute to the spread of the virus.
