My 6 year old son ended up having Scarlett Fever.  We took him to his pediatrician in the morning and they did NOTHING. We were fortunate enough to get my 6 year old son and 10 year old daughter in.  The entire staff was INCREDIBLE! From the receptionist to the nurses to Dr. Anthony.  They ran strep tests, took his temperature, and gave him a couple of antibiotics.  My kids thought they were really nice!  Great staff, very professional, awesome bedside manner and the office was clean!   We are veru grateful and highly recommend!

I I went to the doctor because I had a burn on my hand. I was in a lot of pain. They took me into the room to see me, but I had to wait a long time. Once the doctor was there, he kept me waiting twice for a long time. The last time he came back, he told me, "I already sent the medicine to your pharmacy," but he never gave me anything. I went in like that and left in a lot of pain. I didn't like the service. I went with the intention of feeling better. I was disappointed that they didn't even have a cream to soothe my pain.

I scheduled an appointment over the app while I was still home.I find scheduling through the app is very convenient.Checking was easy.Doctor who i spoke with was extremely friendly, helpful, polite, informative. He explained everything to me in a way I can understand it.He did not rush me.He spent enough time to explain the situation and all options available.I am really happy with his service. The girl who was taking my vital signs was not polite and a bit rough. She seemed to me that she hates her job. That was my third time visiting that location and overall I am satisfied with the service provided.

Both made me feel that they were genuinely concerned with my health. Offices very clean . Office staff at front desk very pleasant as well.  This was my first time here. Would recommend.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Everyone should consider getting tested for hepatitis, especially those who are at a higher risk. According to the CDC, these include individuals who have been exposed to blood through needle use or sexual contact, healthcare workers, people with multiple sexual partners, and those who have traveled to countries where hepatitis is prevalent. In Addison, IL, it's particularly crucial for individuals who fall into these categories to get tested, as the prevalence of hepatitis is a significant concern.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital because it allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent serious health complications such as liver damage and cancer. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, making regular testing crucial for those at risk. In Addison, IL, and surrounding areas, getting tested can also help control the spread of the disease, protecting the broader community.

Midwest Express Clinic in Elmhurst and Instant Urgent Care in Westchester are two such locations. Both clinics have excellent reviews and offer short wait times. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at each through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers in Addison and surrounding areas also offer hepatitis testing. Regular check-ups with your primary care provider can include hepatitis testing, especially if you are at a higher risk.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those who may not have insurance or who are looking for more affordable options, free STD testing and community health centers in Addison and nearby areas provide hepatitis testing. SCT Medical Clinic in Broadview is a highly-rated option.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are also available for those who prefer privacy and convenience. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Addison

Hepatitis is a significant concern in Addison, IL. According to the CDC, the rates of hepatitis in DuPage County, where Addison is located, are higher than the national average. Comparisons with nearby counties such as Fulton County and Williams County also show higher prevalence in DuPage County.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Addison

Several risk factors contribute to the high prevalence of hepatitis in Addison. These include a high rate of intravenous drug use, multiple sexual partners, and a large population of healthcare workers. Additionally, close proximity to major cities like Chicago increases the risk of transmission.

Other STDs in Addison

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Addison. The rates of these STDs are also higher than the national average and higher than in nearby counties. This underscores the importance of regular testing for all STDs/STIs, not just hepatitis.
