Came in to the urgent care with an online appointment scheduled. I have been here several times. I have insurance, which was verified by the office, but the front desk girl said I was required to have a credit card on file but couldn’t tell me why. She did say it would be on file in your system for FIVE years. Not only does that seem to be a crazy ask with verified insurance, she could explain why the card was needed or why it would be on file for years. Makes me question things for sure…. The provider was great but first impression needs improvement.

Availability for an urgent care visit was easy to schedule when I called in and the digital check in was quick. The wait-time once checked in was not long at all. I don't think I have ever been in an exam room with a T.V.; but it did make the wait between diagnostic and diagnosis more enjoyable. Nurse Andy and PA Shelby were personable. The radiology technician and receptionist were also very good. It is nice to have found a quality urgent care facility nearby in Wendell.

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

I needed to have a wellness exam done pretty quickly as the year was nearing the end. I was able to get a same day appointment as a new patient. That us really hard to do in the Raleigh area.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone at risk for hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have been exposed to contaminated blood or body fluids, have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, have had unprotected sex with an infected person, or have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis. It's also recommended that all pregnant women get tested for hepatitis B, as the virus can be passed to the baby during childbirth.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for early detection and treatment. Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to serious health complications such as liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure. Early detection allows for immediate treatment, reducing the risk of these severe outcomes and potentially preventing the spread of the virus to others.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option for hepatitis testing. These kits can be ordered online and used in the privacy of your own home, with results typically available within a few days.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Holly Springs

While specific data for Holly Springs is not readily available, Wake County, where Holly Springs is located, has seen a steady number of hepatitis cases in recent years. This trend is similar to what's been observed in nearby counties like Raleigh County and Fayette County. It's important to note that the actual number of cases may be higher, as many people with hepatitis do not know they are infected.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Holly Springs

Risk factors for hepatitis in Holly Springs are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles or other drug paraphernalia, exposure to contaminated blood or body fluids, and travel to countries with high rates of hepatitis.

Other STDs in Holly Springs

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also present in Holly Springs and surrounding areas. These STDs share many of the same risk factors as hepatitis, and testing for these infections can often be done at the same time as hepatitis testing.
