Probably one of most cleanest urgent cares I’ve been in. Very easy to make an appointment, no wait time but expected to wait if I had to. The front office was very friendly and the staff in the back were just as nice. Dr. Patel was very attentive and listened to all my concerns. I highly recommend to go if you need to

Returning from a drive from Florida, with a raging sore throat. Easy scheduling an appointment for the next morning. I was seen within a few minutes, test for flu, strep and Covid, came up positive for Covid. We quickly arranged for medication prescription and off I went. Dr. Santana was perfectly professional and attentive. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The check in computer machines were too complicated for Senior Citizens and individuals who are not computer savvy.  We had to use several check in machines to check in. The receptionist had to use two machines before she could check us in. Staff was very nice.

I will say, time and time again, this is my go to place for any kind of testing. I never have to wait, I usually schedule a day or two before and am often seen early due to no one being there. Staff and providers are super friendly, helpful, and extremely quick with what they need to do which allows for less time waiting in the exam rooms. Testing is also extremely fast, I have gotten tests before and then have heard back a day later. Will recommend to anyone looking for quick access to medical care.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or bodily fluids, shared needles, or had unprotected sex with a person who has hepatitis should get tested. This also includes individuals who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, have a liver disease, or are pregnant. It's important to note that hepatitis can be asymptomatic, meaning a person can carry the virus without showing any symptoms. Therefore, regular testing is recommended for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, early detection can prevent the progression of the disease, which can lead to severe liver damage, including cirrhosis and liver cancer. Secondly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. Lastly, treatment is available for all types of hepatitis, and the sooner it's started, the better the outcome.

Hepatitis testing options in Roselle Park, NJ:

For instance, MetroDoc in nearby Belleville, NJ, and Levelup Md Urgent Care in Bloomfield, NJ, are highly rated for their short wait times and clean facilities. Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable source for hepatitis testing. They can provide comprehensive care, including testing, diagnosis, and treatment. If you have a long-standing relationship with your primary care provider, it might be more comfortable for you to discuss your concerns and symptoms with them.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing, making it accessible for individuals who may not have insurance or who may be underinsured. These centers are located throughout Union County, providing easy access for residents of Roselle Park and nearby cities.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits provide privacy and convenience, as you can take the test at your own time and pace. After taking the test, you send the sample back to a lab and receive your results online.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Roselle Park

While specific data for Roselle Park is not readily available, according to the CDC, the prevalence of hepatitis in Union County, where Roselle Park is located, is consistent with the national average. However, it's important to note that the actual number of hepatitis cases might be higher due to underreporting and the asymptomatic nature of the disease.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Roselle Park

Risk factors for hepatitis in Roselle Park are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles, exposure to infected blood or bodily fluids, and travel to countries with high hepatitis prevalence. It's important to be aware of these risk factors and take necessary precautions to prevent infection.

Other STDs in Roselle Park

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Roselle Park. Like hepatitis, these diseases can be asymptomatic and can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. Therefore, regular testing for all STDs is recommended for those at risk.
