Will not write about my experience other than the fact that the receptionist  young lady that checked me in and took my vitals was excellent. Do not want to share what followed.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who believes they may have been exposed to hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, received a tattoo or piercing with unsterilized tools, or traveled to a country where hepatitis is prevalent. If you're a healthcare worker or have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, you should also consider getting tested. According to the CDC, baby boomers (born between 1945 and 1965) are particularly at risk for hepatitis C and should be tested at least once.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including liver disease, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection allows for timely treatment, which can prevent these serious health outcomes. It also helps prevent the spread of the disease to others.
