Very pleased with the overall experience here. Receptionist was very pleasant as well as the support staff we encountered. Saw Dr. Mary Wolter who was very personable and easy to talk to. She performed a thorough exam and answered any questions or concerns we had. Never felt rushed. Office and patient rooms were immaculate.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been potentially exposed to the hepatitis virus should get tested. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have come into contact with infected blood. Additionally, those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, or have been born to a mother with hepatitis, should also consider testing. It's important to note that hepatitis can often show no symptoms, making regular testing crucial for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital for several reasons. Firstly, it allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent serious health complications such as liver disease and cancer. Secondly, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. Finally, it can provide peace of mind, especially for those who may be at higher risk of contracting the virus.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often provide free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a valuable resource for those without insurance or those who cannot afford the cost of testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are available for those who prefer privacy and convenience. These kits can be ordered online, completed at home, and then mailed back to a lab for analysis.
