I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a viral infection that causes inflammation of the liver, can affect anyone. However, certain groups are at a higher risk and should consider getting tested. These include individuals who have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with hepatitis, those who have engaged in unprotected sex, drug users who share needles, healthcare workers, and people who have traveled to regions with high rates of hepatitis.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. First, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, making early detection vital for effective treatment. Second, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. Lastly, untreated hepatitis can lead to serious health complications, including liver disease and cancer.
