Was able to book an appointment over the phone in under 2 minutes. My provider was a female doctor who I’ve seen in the past but I forgot her name:( She’s fantastic, both my mom and I absolutely LOVE her. Kind, patient, to the point and excellent bedside manners. I’m hoping I don’t get sick again but if I do, I know exactly who to go to!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), everyone should be tested for hepatitis at least once in their lifetime, as it's a highly infectious disease that can be easily transmitted. However, certain groups are at a higher risk and should get tested regularly. These include individuals who have been exposed to infected blood or body fluids, those who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners, and people who share needles or other drug paraphernalia. In addition, anyone born between 1945 and 1965, a period when hepatitis was particularly prevalent, should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. According to the Mayo Clinic, chronic hepatitis can cause liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure, all of which can be life-threatening. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, which can slow the progression of the disease, prevent complications, and improve quality of life. Furthermore, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others.
