The front desk gentleman was very nice and professional, took my blood pressure & temperature. The nurse who came into patient room told me I should have put my mask on when I had been told I was going to be getting swabbed next - I realize I was contagious but I wasn’t leaving the room and I knew I was getting swabbed - I wasn’t sure it it was going to be my nose or mouth.  Her manner & tone was not friendly.  The PA was great, very nice bedside manner, helpful and answered questions.  I had thought the clinic did PCR tests as they had done in the past but learned that had stopped some time ago. I wanted to have a PCR test done as well but was not able to.

My daughter needed a sports physical today. I was able to get in very quickly. The check-in process for paperwork went smoothly due to it being available online prior to the appointment. The staff was very nice and pleasant. Nurse Bri was excellent. My daughter was nervous at first, but Nurse Bri’s bedside manner helped her feel more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this office and its staff.

The receptionist never greeted me when I entered the office. She was not at the desk but was back in another office talking to another staff member. My first interaction with anyone was when the nurse called my name to be seen. The nurse and Dr were professional and friendly. When I walked back to the front there was still no one at the desk. The receptionist was again in the other room talking to another staff member. I said excuse do I need to check out and she said no you’re good. Very poor communication.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus should get tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, or have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis. In addition, those who have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with hepatitis, or those who have persistent liver disease symptoms should also consider getting tested. It's important to remember that hepatitis can often present without symptoms, so regular testing is crucial for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Hepatitis is a serious disease that can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer if left untreated. According to the CDC, early detection through testing is key to preventing these severe health complications. Additionally, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.

Hepatitis testing options in Royse City, TX:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also conduct a hepatitis test. If you don't have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in the Royse City area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often provide free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a crucial resource for those without insurance or those who cannot afford the cost of testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are available for purchase online or at local pharmacies. These kits provide privacy and convenience, but it's important to ensure they are FDA-approved for accuracy.

The prevalence of hepatitis in Royse City is not significantly higher than the national average, according to the CDC. However, it's important to note that hepatitis rates can vary greatly from county to county, and even from city to city within the same county. For example, nearby counties such as Hill County and Caddo Parish may have different hepatitis rates than Rockwall County, where Royse City is located.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Royse City

Risk factors for hepatitis in Royse City are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include intravenous drug use, unprotected sex, and close contact with a person diagnosed with hepatitis. It's important to remember that anyone can contract hepatitis, regardless of age, sex, or socioeconomic status.

Other STDs in Royse City

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, and syphilis are present in Royse City. Regular testing for all STDs/STIs is crucial for those who are sexually active, particularly if they have multiple partners or do not consistently use protection. As with hepatitis, these diseases can often be asymptomatic, further emphasizing the importance of regular testing.
