Lab testing
My daughter was mis-diagnosed for strep and given an antibiotic. When the lab also came back negative, rapid was negative, no one called me With results to take her off the antibiotic. Her symptoms worsened and her pediatrician diagnosed her with walking pneumonia. This was the second times antibiotics were prescribed when a rapid strep test was negative. The staff is always kind there but the medical treatment has not been good lately.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

People who are at risk of hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have been in contact with someone diagnosed with hepatitis, those who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, and people who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners. According to the CDC, those born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as baby boomers, are also at a higher risk and should get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. Early detection can prevent the spread of the virus, allow for timely treatment, and potentially prevent liver damage. It is especially important for those at risk to get tested, as they may not show symptoms until the disease has progressed.
