Lab testing
My daughter was mis-diagnosed for strep and given an antibiotic. When the lab also came back negative, rapid was negative, no one called me With results to take her off the antibiotic. Her symptoms worsened and her pediatrician diagnosed her with walking pneumonia. This was the second times antibiotics were prescribed when a rapid strep test was negative. The staff is always kind there but the medical treatment has not been good lately.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus, has had unprotected sex, shared needles, or has traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis should consider getting tested. Individuals with chronic liver disease, HIV, or anyone born between 1945 and 1965, a group with a higher rate of hepatitis C, should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to serious health complications including liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, which can prevent these serious outcomes. Furthermore, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
