Brita and Caroline the PA were amazing! They were very efficient. I love how clean the facility was. I would recommend these two ladies and your urgent care to anyone. I work in the medical field and I was very impressed. The only thing I would recommend would be wheel chair accessible doors. There should be a push button for entrance and exit. Overall I give this place a 10 out of 10

First time there and everything was very well organized. I was there about 40 mins total which was longer than I expected but maybe my expectations were centered around an antigen test which is easier to do.

We had problems connecting but the Dr. was able to call my cell phone to complete the visit. She answered all my questions well and I have no more concerns. I have not yet received my order for Covid-19 testing, but I am sure she will be sending the link along shortly. I was very pleased with the Virtual Visit with Beaumont Health Care.

Virtual visit was on time and the doc was awesome! She understood my concerns about wanting precautionary Covid test as I was going to be around young kids and ailing father. She answered the questions I had about masking and social distancing in the work environment. Great visit and I will use this Urgent Care for issues in the future!

This was my first time. I didn’t know what to expect. A lot of people told me you are in and out for covid testing. I arrived at 3pm. I was called back rather quickly but their protocol for testing is alittle different you have to wait for results. I would come here again. I just don’t prefer rapid testing.

- Verified patient on 11/14

So far, so good. I had the appointment and the doc will arrange an appointment for me to get a covid test. If you go through this app, DO get on 10 minutes before the appointment. I had already filled out paperwork before the visit. But there was more to fill out! I like the idea of having an appointment for the COVID test. It sounds like I can get swabbed without the usual hours-long wait in a room of sick people! We'll see!

- Verified patient on 11/23

The staff is very friendly in the clinic is very professional and pleasant. I didn’t know my husband had just scheduled an appointment to be tested while I was waiting for my phone call to make my appointment. He was about to leave and told me to hop in the car. Sure enough, I received my call minutes later. The scheduler allowed me to have the same appointment time as my husband. We appreciated accommodating our situation.

- Verified patient on 4/5

The tele med part was fabulous, all 5 star! The physical location for the swab is not nearly as timely or organized. Understaffed and inexperienced at the desk, 30 minutes after appt time and I'm still in the waiting room. I was under the impression the combo would be quick and I wouldn't have to wait with the symptomatic people like I am currently.... I am here for a travel covid test.

- Verified patient on 5/7

I used the drive up tonight for a Covid 19 test . It was my first time getting tested . The gentleman that did the test was very nice and informative. I was nervous but I listens to his instructions and I believe it was done as smoothly as it could be done .. Now waiting on the results..

- Verified patient on 1/13

This is a covid testing site. With that being said everyone was very nice and polite. I can’t imagine how I would deal with every person coming in being a potential positive covid status and still staying calm and collected. I had no symptoms, but my family members had covid so I needed to be tested before returning the work. It was quick and easy. No wait time at all for my pre scheduled appointment. I will for sure use the same site once it’s back and running for a normal urgent care.

I was having difficulty in obtaining covid-19 test results so that I could get a needed anti-body infusion done. I even tried other clinics. But for some odd reasons the results werent being processed as quickly as promised at those other clinics. You people were able to squeeze me in on a last minute basis twice. The 2nd time was needed due to issues being experienced at the labs, similar to the other clinics. So your folks squeezed me in for a 2nd try the next day with the hope for quick results 2nd time around. Your staff came through for me. That allowed me to recieve the needed infusion. I'm greatful for the effort you folks placed in helping me reach my needed end goal. I'd recommend your Shelby Twp clinic to everyone. Great staff there.

Professional and courteous … however, a bit much for a ‚simple’ PCR test … but I understand that health care firms need to earn a profit … lengthy/tiresome process to get to the test stage … once tested the time to obtain the PCR test result was first class. Friendly service once inside the clinic.

I came in in New Year’s Day for a rapid COVID test. I used the virtual visit option and Save My Spot before getting an appointment. The process saved both me and the staff a lot of time. This is my 4th test (I work in an assisted living facility and we are extremely careful). The staff here have always been extremely professional and friendly and they operate at a fast pace. I would highly recommend the Beaumont - Wellstreet urgent cares for any urgent medical needs!

- Verified patient on 1/1

Staff was fantastic and helpful! However it was notade clear that a virtual visit was required prior to testing. The clinic is still listed as walkin available for Covid PCR testing but requires a virtual visit prior. After arriving I scheduled a virtual visit an hour from then adding a bit to my wait time and extending my day a bit.

- Verified patient on 3/29

I must admit that I was a bit frustrated regarding how I had to go about scheduling a COVID PCR test. I would prefer to just schedule an appointment and walk in but Dr. Ryan Smith was very personable, professional and easy on the eyes. He made the experience mush better in the end. Thank you!

- Verified patient on 10/15

There was a small issue and we got disconnected, but the dr called right away. Very seamless experience for a Covid test doing the virtual visit. One suggestion, let the people know in the email that the virtual visit link won’t be useable until 15 minutes before the start time. I thought the link was broken and I was just clicking it too early.

- Verified patient on 12/15

This experience worked well. For COVID testing, I'm not sure this was as necessary for me as other patients. You see, I had another COVID test with you just last week. That experience was also great. If today was my first COVID test, the call would be "spot on." Regardless, today's experience was great. Thanks so much.

You’re the best!!! Your user-friendly and simple on-line system allowed me to upload my insurance info and ID in advance of my appointment. This set the stage for my test to be handled within 2 minutes. In addition, you will email my test results to me within the next 7 hours - which is amazing. You, by far, are the best lab I’ve been to with regards to getting a COVID test.

- Verified patient on 12/9

I scheduled a virtual visit first to request a covid test for international travel, then secured an on-site appointment for the test. My wait for both was less than 5 minutes. I received my test results in an hour. So fast and efficient! The staff was very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again for covid tests required for travel.

I had a virtual appointment with a doctor, who listened to my symptoms and concerns and set it up for me to have the Covid Test at Taylor Urgent Care. I received a call from Beaumont and my appointment at Taylor Urgent Care was set for 2 PM. I went in, was welcomed, taken to a room, given the test, and discharged a few minutes later. Still anxiously waiting for the results of the test at this time. I booked my appointment online.

- Verified patient on 10/25

I booked a virtual appointment last night for 8:27 this morning, had the appointment, got a call to book my test in 3 minutes, and walked right in at 8:55 and was back to my car by 9:00. Most efficient process ever, wow! And everyone I talked to was incredibly friendly along the way. Love it, would recommend to anyone!

- Verified patient on 4/17

Overall it was a good experience. Very short due to all that was needed is just setting up a scheduled time to get swabbed. Having to set up a virtual visit to book a time for a COVID test I understand is probably a way to control the chaos and flow, but I also see this as a money grab as well for the convenience fo booking a time slot vs just waiting and hoping for not a large queue as a walk in. Since it requires a virtual visit that means that more than likely this counts as an "office visit" which then means there's a copay literally just to have a doctor say, "Yep, we'll have a scheduler reach out to you". Thankfully I have insurance to help cover whatever the copay might be. I understand that this is probably bigger than a Beaumont Urgent Care concern, but I just wanted to share my view on this.

Southfield Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
