Booked app’t to have wound unpacked, cleaned & repacked. Wait time was only minutes. Staff was most considerate and professional. I was in and out in a short time & my need was cared for. We are very fortunate to have such competent , caring professionals for times an office visit with PCP is not possible. I would recommend this particular site to anyone in need of care

Got a cut from a puppy tooth. Was healing now inflamed. Told them repeatedly it was not work related and they insisted on calling the shelter to find out more. It is NOT a workman’s Comp case!

I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

Mercy Urgent care is the ONLY location in the entire town of Brevard conducting Covid test before Christmas. While the wait was a touch long, everyone appeared to be understanding, given the tremendous demand for Covid test. The staff was wonderful and very apologetic for the wait times, as they diligently tried to accommodate the needs of each patient. I received a call regarding my test results (thankfully negative) within the 30 minute time frame as promised. I would definitely recommend Mercy Urgent Care.

Jennifer came right on the phone very polite went through some stuff with me about my covid test it was a great experience I was like so stressed about it but it was turned out to be wonderful.

This is my favorite place for Covid testing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I can tell that the nurse practitioners take care with the telemedicine calls. And they’re tests are 96% accurate 👍🏼

It was far COVID rapid test. The online process could be a lot better. Older people has a hard time getting processed. I had to call you and then do it on my smart phone. A lot of older people don’t have smart phones

Prompt service, good guidance during virtual visit. Compassionate and quick COVID testing when I was directed to the office. Appreciated a personal call about the result. Some of the data (meds, email address) didn’t populate from the registration “paperwork” to the EMR and had to be verbally repeated and entered by the provider. I believe that providers should have their credentials/degrees listed in addition to thei name.

The doctor I spoke with in my virtual visit was very nice, but I don't know if she has actually scheduled me for a test and it's impossible to get to a person. MY post visit paperwork makes no mention of when my test is, but talks about what kind of test it is and what to expect afterwards. I need this before a medical procedure and I don't know how to confirm and get the time of the appointment.

- Verified patient on 2/11

All three people I worked with were very professional. The front desk made everything flow (including changing my phone number to make a virtual visit possible). Philip is one of the nicest nurse practitioners that I've ever worked with. The lady who came out to actually do the test was amazing and very understanding and very friendly as well.

This was so easy and convenient. Needed a rapid test for traveling. Never had to leave my car. I got there about 15 minutes early & I was done before my official appointment time. I will definitely go back if the need arises.

Overall, my experience at Mercy Urgent Care was positive in every way. The doctor was very positive and engaged during the teleinterview, my time at the clinic was quick and easy, and I had my COVID-19 testing results back in less than 30 minutes.

I came with an appointment to get a Covid variant test. I did the online check in and was able to be seen quickly after arriving. I was well pleased. The check I’m process was very convenient.

After a difficult time at our family provider insisting I had covid and asking me to please leave there premises I was told to go to Mercy Urgent Care in WEAVERVILLE NC. They couldn't have been more acceptable and helpful. Covid test was negative and I was given help for my issue.

I went in for a covid test and since my cell phone was broken they did accommodate me to come inside and were very thorough and polite made it very easy for me. I did the online checking and it was easy but lengthy I have insurance so cost was zero. Wait time was short. and check in in was easy. online booking was simple but lengthy yes, yes I would recommend them.

Other than being sick for about a week I was glad that my test came back negative and I got medicine called in to take care of the problem so it was great

Myself and 2 other people were getting tested for the dreaded co-vid virus all in the same vehicle. We did drive up to the urgent facility and do things there because we were not sure how the process went. After talking to the practitioner which by the way was totally awesome we waited for about 30 minutes. We then proceeded to call the front desk back and just asked how much longer because the practitioner said it shouldn't be much longer after we got off the call with her. The person at the front which was very impersonal said she didn't know. They were very busy. So we continued our wait and an hour has gone by. Finally the guy came out and said he had been waiting for the front to let him know. He was wondering why no one had let him know. By the way he is the only one that does the tests for them. He apologized for the mix up and was very awesome. If it had not been for him coming outside on his own we would probably still be there....... I didn't rate the time because it was ridiculous so less than 1. I didn't rate the staff because I just rated the front desk. It was also less than 1. I did comment about the two people that we dealt with and I give them a 10. The visit could have been all stars if it hadn't been for the one person that is the hub of the facility. They need to start back with any classes 101. I've worked in a doctors office before and the front desk controls the office. That area needs much improvement. These are very hard times and I don't mind to wait my turn but we should have been out of there about 10 to 20 minutes after we got off the phone with the practitioner. Just wanted to say my piece!

Everything went well until I tried to access the Covid & strep test results but I couldn’t get in with the password that worked for the first email. It would be nice to have someone answering your phones after hours so I could know whether or not to give the prescribed antibiotic.

It was hard. Had trouble breathing with a mask (asthma). Wanted to fill out forms and deal with everything NOT virtually. So the receptionist let me have the forms in the car. I was there from 8 or so until noon. Dan (EMT) thawed and was fine as did the receptionist. Powell super friendly and appealing. X ray guy fine. Glad I went but not surprised that Covid test was negative and chest x ray ok. Thank God I wasn’t kicked out to be fobbed off on the ER because I did NOT want to go: I am not suicidal. 😜 Bravo Urgent Care! 👩‍🌾

Making the appointment on the website was jot easy. The site would not take my uploads for my license. Had to call to make an appointment. The scheduling for a covid-19 test and a telemedicine appt was a hassle, but I understand that difficulty of these times. Once I got to the facility, experience was wonderful.

- Verified patient on 1/10

Telemedicine visit was great and Juliana was very helpful with excellent bedside manner. She sent my information over quickly to ensure rapid testing and educated me on future care as well.

Excellent experience. I appreciated the Urgent Care testing me for flu, also, and not just Covid. The doctor was very caring and thorough on the virtual call. I thought the Staff was very professional.

Asheville Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
