Short wait time, friendly staff. My daughter will only get a covid test here because they 'dont poke her brain' as she puts it.

My visit required a follow up later in the afternoon, which was botched up at each step. Different prescriptions were supposed to be sent to the pharmacy that never came over and by the time they did come over the pharmacy closed hours later. Then the prescription that was resent was the same one as earlier in the day and the insurance company refused to cover it obviously. Communication and follow through was horrible.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

Unfortunately, had to give 3 stars due to wait for Covid test. I know there were a lot of walk-ins that day just for C19 test but we waited a good 2hrs+ to get tested and we were told it was about 1.5hrs wait.

I don’t remember my docs’ name, but he was very friendly and made me feel comfortable . He was kind enough to wish me luck on my test . The nurse was also sweet and friendly . I walked in and did not wait long at all, even w/ a bunch of people there . Very friendly and efficient staff overall

Sink in the room was clogged. I became lightheaded while waiting for the second blood test of the day. One employee accused me of having a “psychotic break” and later said I didn’t want the blood test. I think it was more of a panic attack with little to do with the blood test

I cannot obtain CoVid test results on the MyQuest account app because something with info supposedly does not match. This is the only frustrating part of the service. I could have received the results much sooner if this discrepancy between the app MyQuest and the lab results had been clear. I’m not sure how to sync them. Otherwise I was glad to be able to walk in and wait for a test. Thank you.

It was fast and easy waited less than 20 mins and everyone was nice and friendly Jeff did the test for me and my family he was super friendly and made my toddlers feel comfortable when getting their test done despite being scare. Would definitely come back excellent service specially Jeff !!

I just wanted a covid test. The process was new tome but easy to follow. I didn't have to wait inside but was called 2 -3 hours later and just went in when they were ready for me.

- Verified patient on 9/5

First Covid test I walked in and waited an hour. This time around I made an appointment and was taken within 3 minutes of the appointment time. Front desk staff is not the friendliest (pre and post Covid) they will ignore you until you make it known you are not going away. The doctors/PA/nurses in the back are great.

Although I had to wait 3 hours for my test, I was able to do this at the comfort of my own home and they texted me when my appointment was next. I arrived in 10 minutes and it took about 5 to be seen and tested. The nurse did an excellent job at swabbing my nose.

- Verified patient on 1/10

The wait time was longer than I’d like for a rapid covid test. However, I understand I went on a Sunday afternoon during a very demanding time for rapid results, so I can’t necessarily blame the staff. They were very friendly.

- Verified patient on 8/30

It is a very convenient place to go to. The staff is very friendly and caring. However they should have a better system for those coming in only for CoVid testing. They should dedicated one room out of the eight rooms they have for CoVid testing. It will make it so much easier for those just getting tested to walk in and out just in case the person is positive it will be a lower risk for patients waiting to contract the virus. The wait time to be seen is 1 hour to 1 hour and a half which is an excessive wait time for those just getting tested only for CoVId.

- Verified patient on 8/29

It was an easy process. I felt comfortable. Even though you waited a long time it is important that everybody gets tested. The workers addressed my issue promptly. I felt the staff was efficient. I would go back again.

- Verified patient on 9/10

Although the wait time was extremely long for covid testing, the staff were very patient and kind. I witnessed a few people come into building with very impatient and unkind demeanor...but the staff remind professional. I would absolutely recommend this site to others.

- Verified patient on 12/20

I was not in a traditional facility, but in a temporary Covid testing site. The staff were very professional and courteous. I had no wait time and was out the door before my scheduled appointment time.

- Verified patient on 1/16

It was just very busy, and not the most welcoming. Staff by the front desk do not direct guests at all. They just hid behind computers and did not say anything unless you address them yourself to ask questions. The doctor and the nurse who saw us in the exam room were wonderful. As far as cleanliness, it’s Covid so I’m sure this is a problem between most healthcare facilities, but may I suggest having something to clean the chairs after someone else was sitting on it. Antibacterial/antiviral wipes maybe available. As far as The wait time, I had called ahead and was told that no appointment was needed for a PCR test. Now they should have shared that there was a long wait Or maybe should have suggested to make one anyway instead of having me show up and wait 1.5 hours.

Came in for Covid testing. Super convenient and easy. Waited about 20 min. Test itself took no more than 2-3 minutes. Employees were courteous and pleasant. This will be my go to place for any future testing. Hours are also great.

- Verified patient on 2/5

The wait was long but that was expected. I am amazed at how nice every single staff member is though. There were several impatient/rude patients in the waiting room yet none of the receptionists lost their cool, and the person who administered my test was very kind to me especially since he could tell I was nervous.

- Verified patient on 1/3

Even though there was a long wait for a covid test, I appreciated that we were able to go in and put names down, go back home, and then receive a message to return to the office when alerted. The staff was very efficient and knew to put my husband and me together. I appreciate the office was open on Labor Day and still late into the night!!

I needed a Covid PCR test to go back to work; I walked in (no appointments were available) and they signed me in quickly, gave me an idea of the wait time (which turned out to be one the mark) and told me that they would send a text when they were ready for me - and it went perfectly perfectly.

- Verified patient on 1/14

I went here for a Covid-19 test and spent less than 5 minutes at the facility. I was immediately instructed where to go and what to do. You should be proud of how efficiently this facility runs!!!!!

- Verified patient on 1/20

I walked in without an appointment before 4 p.m. on 1.5.*** for a COVID swab test. The place was very busy, so I expected a long wait, but I was in & out within an hour. Kelvin administered the swab and informed me it might feel uncomfortable, but I didn't mind. It actually tickled. Less than 30 seconds on both nostrils. My eyes watered big time. No worries though. Then I met Dr. Mike who was very friendly & answered all my qsts. He asked if I was interested in the antibody test and I accepted. Maria, who was also her friendly, took my blood sample. Less than a min. and she was done. I definitely recommend this clinic! Thanx everyone! Happy New Year! Stay safe!

Bergenfield Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
