Scheduling was very easy and check in was a breeze, a person like me from NYthat is accustomed to being seen on time and that is what I got on my time schedule, I did not sit in the exam room for long only minutes when the doctor came in. The doctor was very focused on my symptoms of why I came here, she gave me clear and full instructions on what to take and how. I am happy that I can feel comfortable coming here from being with one doctor for 18 years Let me not leave the staff and manager out very pleasant and the place was very clean.

First would like to say like to everyone working the day I came in. Had a bad fall and had to have stitches removed. Place was very nice and clean got an appointment right when I needed it. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The doctor and the pa on site were very friendly, kind and considerate of all my needs. I also had to have X-rays done to check something I didn’t feel when I fell a week before. With no problem they were also done and thankfully all was ok. I definitely will go back the next time for either me or a family or friends.  Ty so much Nicole

Firstly, I created a 4:30pm appointment on the app and didn’t expect to wait almost a half hour before being tested. Finally, I was put off when I arrived at the facility it was empty to my surprise because each time I visited this facility is usually crowded. However, there was only one person and they were being attended to when I walked in. So, I was next in line a minute later another person walked in the opposite door. When the receptionist finished attending to the person, she immediately turned to he person who walked in after me. I interjected and told her I was next which was clear because the place was empty prior to my arrival.

Needed a rapid covid screening and they were able to do it. Wait for the test was about 15 minutes. Wait for the results was about 15 minutes. Door to door 1 hour. Unbelievable! What a pleasure. Pleasant staff. Wish it wasn't just urgent care. Thank you so much

It had a great experience, I don’t expect more!!! Everything move along smoothly from the time I arrive there up until I left. The person who administered Covid test had very good bed manners!!!! Also the receptionist at front desk. I admire all their commitment in a time like this.

Had an appointment and waited almost 2 hours to be tested. Staff said they didn’t know I was waiting and was not on their “list” but I called when I arrived and the app showed my arrival and place on wait list. I was too patient

The Ellvington location was wonderful I had a problem with the COVID test I took yesterday that I needed for a pending surgery they were very helpful they gave me the rapid pcr test that gave me the results in 30 minutes. Now I am having the surgery as scheduled.

Everyone at the front desk was great. Rep in back area were professional. That doctor was outstanding. She was so happy and professional. Made me feel great. although still waiting for COVID testing. I so glad I choose this facility. The doctor was definitely on target with her diagnosis. Much has changed for the better since I was there last.

The 2 girls that came into the exam room were carrying on a private convo. The one with the long black hair asked me a question but then cut me off during my response. Neither of them shut the door to my exam room. The girl with the long black hair was discussing what was going on in the hallway. I was able to see people walk by me while I was in there. I was there for a covid test rapid/pcr. The girl was so unnecessary rough. There was no need to stick the Qtip as far as she did and as rough as she did. I literally pulled away! I have had so many and I know it’s not done that way. These girls were like the Tasmanian devil, the way they were in and out of the room. No eye contact! Private conversations! No Professionalism! No privacy!

It was a God send to see your company listed on the internet! I was very worried about being infected with COVID and although I’m still waiting for the PCR results, the negative result of the Rapid Test gave me some peace of mind! Thank you Dr. Smith for your calming demeanor! It was most appreciated!!!! Lorraine Estrada

Was able to sign in and then go home until I received a text to come back. So convenient. Once there the staff was so polite and cheerful even after a long day at work. Employee who administered the test was beyond helpful and very encouraging with her advice and experiences.

I was very impressed with Chai this time around. I was able to make my appointment online and when I arrived there was no line. I received my COVID test and results in less than 10 mins. Very efficient

Waited 25 mins after checkin. Did covid rapid test. Went fast. But then male dr was insisting since was negative to do the 3 day test and i said no and argued me how rapid isnt accurate. And people went from neg to pos and i better get retested soon. Felt uncomfirtable

Something really needs to be done about the registration process at this place. Its the 3rd time went for Covid test. Why in EARTH would you make people, especially SICK PEOPLE, wait on line for 3 hours out in the cold?? All all sick people on top of each other on these lines??? Why can't you allow registration on line or via phone? This is completely ludacris!! You need to change that procedure!!

It was good. Overall it was excellent. The only problem is my wife and I never got our Covid Test results. They said we would receive a text back and/or email 15-20 minutes after the test, however my wife had to call the place the next morning to find out the results.

Went for a rapid covid test so I can visit my grandma in nursing home, they were able to provide results in writing which was what I needed. Wait time was about 45 minutes (waited in car not in cold) nose swab didn’t hurt at all. The two nurses (male and female) made a great team- in and out service.

I made an appointment for a Covid test and I was actually seen 10 minutes before that time. I was called within 10 minutes with the results I walked in and got a form with the results and out I went. Highly recommend

There has to be a better wait time for a covid test. Other wise i do come here all the time staff is very caring kind considerate. My nurse Donna Bolen i think the best nurse ever.

I love going here (tottenville location). They adhere to appointment times, and text you updates on your apt/ when you can go to the room. They even text you when results are ready (COVID test). Also I was in and out in 1 minute for a COVID test, unheard of!

I’ve been to many places. I’ve needed tests when no one else was open or available. Both times I made an appointment and had almost no wait time. Everyone was professional and Accommodating. I did the same with other facilities and needed to wait around an unacceptable amount of time for a scheduled appointment. Good work!

Chai Urgent care, was beyond a pleasure to visit. Especially during a time where Covid 19 is still spreading they made the experience a pleasurable one. Making sure everyone was safe by allowing us to wait in our car until our time was up. We were in and out to get rapid testing and the staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Staten Island Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.
