Very disappointed with the care I got. Wait time was yover hour half. When I finally got called in they were nice to me. They took my vitals then covid and strep test. Waited for results which were negative. After that they didn't provide anything for my cough or sore throat. They really didn't do anything for me at all. It was a waste of time and money that I will be charged. I will reach out to my Dr tomorrow for help.

I was told I do not have an ear infection yet I’ve had chronic ear infections for over 30 years. I’m leaving Saturday for Las Vegas for a funeral and I’m dreading getting on a plane without an antibiotic. Sometimes you know your own body better than others. The pain in my ear is excruciating. I really need an antibiotic I guess I have to go to another doctor. Not happy to many days in pain with this ear ache.

There was a 16 year old boy who was sitting in the waiting area with his arm bleeding. He had several tissues trying to contain the bleed and the rep at the front desk turned them away because they didn't have an id. That's a kid! Bleeding!! And was turned away. Compassion is one of the most important elements in health care and it was lacking. It wasn't the provider who turned him away it was the receptionist. Otherwise my visit was ok, I think my provider was Torres, she was great. But I couldn't stop thinking about the kid.

I woke up yesterday morning not feeling well and my primary care physician was unable to take me. Fortunately, I was able to go to Atlantic Health Urgent Care in Cedar Knolls. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Wait time was a bit long, but that is to be expected at this time of year. I was home with a diagnosis in about an hour. Thanks for all of your help!

I understand the wait time being long but the receptionist could not even give me an estimated wait time and that makes a big difference when you have a cranky baby. She also didn't know how to print me a detailed itemized receipt and asked me to call back tomorrow. The PA though was super super nice and helpful.

The doctor was lovely and friendly. She understood my concerns with how I was feeling and offered alternative solutions.  I was however concerned with my intake nurse. When taking my temperature they did not put the protective cover on the probe and I did not notice until they handed it from me and put it on my mouth. They then just set it aside and used the head thermometer. They were very uncomfortable asking my weight and when my last menstrual cycle was. They complained of having a “killer headache” which while i understand it should not be followed up with taking you to an exam room and saying “it’s a good thing you’re wearing a mask” while putting what I assumed to be an air purifier on. From my prior experiences I have always had nurses wear gloves when completing flu/covid/strep or any other kind of tests and on this occasion that was not that case which I found to be odd as well but I am unsure of what the proper protocol is for that as well.  Again the doctor was great and understanding. The nurse while they could have been sick or have some underlying issue, which is understandable was definitely not a typical experience I could move forward without commenting on. While I would typically say something in the moment it was a very uncomfortable situation.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

About Pregnancy Tests

A pregnancy test helps you confirm whether you’re pregnant. Many signs and symptoms of pregnancy overlap with other health and medical conditions, but getting a pregnancy test can reveal whether conception is the reason for your symptoms. A missed menstrual period is usually the primary sign of pregnancy, but other causes of a missed period include diabetes, drug abuse, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and oral contraceptives.

Determining whether you’re pregnant is crucial to the health of your unborn baby, as you need to take extra precautions to make sure you and your baby are safe. For example, spending time in environments where you inhale cigarette smoke or toxic fumes is harmful to your fetus, and medications such as opioids carry serious risks for mothers and their unborn children.

Common signs of pregnancy include tender, swollen breasts, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, headaches, increased urination, mood swings, food cravings, and light spotting. If you experience these symptoms regularly, you might be pregnant and can benefit from taking a pregnancy test.

Pregnancy Test FAQs

  • Can I get a free pregnancy test in Hope?

If you don't have health insurance or don't have access to a doctor, a community health clinic or a Planned Parenthood health center may be able to provide you with a free or low-cost pregnancy test. If you do have insurance, many commercial plans will fully cover the cost of a pregnancy test at an in-network provider including primary care doctors, medical laboratories, and both retail clinics and urgent care centers.

  • Where can I get a pregnancy test in Hope?

In general, pregnancy tests will be available at Hope-area urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and medical laboratories. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you determine whether or not you are pregnant as soon as possible.

  • How soon can I test for pregnancy?

For the best accurate result, wait until the week following your missed menstruation to take a pregnancy test. If you don't want to wait until your period has skipped, wait at least one to two weeks after you've had sex. If you are pregnant, your body needs time to develop detectable levels of HCG.

  • How can I book a pregnancy test in Hope?

If you are looking for a pregnancy test in Hope, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Hope-area doctors, find a provider, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “pregnancy test” as your reason for visit.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for a pregnancy test in Hope?

Same-day and next-day appointments for pregnancy tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Hope-area doctors, find a provider, and book an appointment for a pregnancy test as soon as today.

  • How do I find the top-rated gynecologists and women's health doctors in Hope?

Solv gathers reviews, ratings, and other data on Hope-area gynecologists to ensure the clinics provided meet our standards. Search for a provider, see what previous patients think, and book a pregnancy test with a top-rated doctor today!

  • Who should get a pregnancy test?

Individuals who suspect they may be pregnant should take a pregnancy test. If you have missed your period, have abnormal cramps, have tender breasts, feel unusually exhausted or nauseous, or have recently had unprotected sex, it’s important to test for pregnancy as soon as possible.

  • How much does a pregnancy test cost in Hope?

If you are uninsured, blood tests and urine tests in-clinic can cost anywhere from $50 to $200. This price doesn’t include the doctor’s consultation. Search for general practitioners and women’s health specialists to get a better idea of the cost in the Hope-area today.

  • Is a pregnancy test covered by my insurance?

Health insurance and medicare will typically cover the cost of pregnancy tests. You may be responsible for a copay for the consultation appointment.
