Woman at the front desk yelled at me to speak up because she couldn't hear me and repeatedly shouted at me for my name instead of asking and later had to be berated by another member of staff to stop shouting. Everyone else was lovely but some manners could be implemented for some staff

I’ve had a cough for about 6 weeks. Decided today I’d had enough. Went to AFC Montclair.  The receptionist was as very friendly and sign in was relatively easy. Not much of a wait time. Triage nurse was friendly and got vitals quickly. Didn’t wait long at all when nurse practitioner came in. She ordered the necessary tests and they were done timely and the technician/nurses was very friendly. Had to wait just a little bit for tests results but not too long. Nurse practitioner came in and told me the results and ordered meds. Before I left, pharmacy notified me they received the med orders. I’ve us s this AFC for a long time and i will continue to do so.

Staff were friendly. I was there a long time despite only one person ahead of me. Spent about 45 minutes in waiting room. Once I was in a room, provider was in within 2 minutes. But then took another 30-45 mins for them to prep the shots. Overall, I think it’s faster than it has been previously.

Overview of STD Testing in Shelby

STD testing is an important part of maintaining sexual health, especially for sexually active individuals in Shelby. Many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are asymptomatic, meaning they do not show noticeable symptoms, making regular testing essential. People with multiple sexual partners or those who engage in unprotected sex are particularly at risk, but testing is recommended for anyone who is sexually active. STD testing in Shelby can detect a range of infections early, allowing for timely treatment and reducing the risk of serious health complications such as infertility, cancer, and the spread of infections to others. Local testing options in Shelby often include urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and at-home test kits.

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active, especially those with multiple partners, should consider regular STD testing. Testing is also recommended for individuals who engage in unprotected sex or have symptoms of an STD.
