As the day progressed, my daughter’s cough worsened. As soon as her teacher notified me, I was able to schedule an appointment for a time that fit our schedule. From the moment we opened the door, we were greeted with a smile by every staff member we encountered. Our wait time was less than 3 minutes. The care and attention we received was top tier, not to mention it’s the cleanest facility we’ve ever visited. We appreciate the hospitality and wonderful care received during our visit.

This is the third time visiting this AFC location for a DOT physical, every time as a walk-in, no appoinment. The wait time was very short, and after filling out all the DOT required paperwork I was quickly called back for the exam. Then entire staff from check-in, nurses, and the PA were professional and polite, always making my visits here pleasant. I plan to return here for all future exams, and any urgent care needs that may arise.

Overview of STD Testing in Monroe

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing as part of their overall health routine. This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or use intravenous drugs. It's also crucial for pregnant women to get tested, as some STDs can be passed from mother to child during childbirth. According to the CDC, certain populations, such as men who have sex with men, are also at a higher risk and should get tested more frequently.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial step in maintaining your health and the health of your partners. Many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they present no symptoms, but can still be transmitted to others and cause serious health complications if left untreated. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of complications and transmission to others.
