I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

On vacation I experienced fever and chills, looked up urgent care in Salem OR. This was rated the highest. While I thought I had strep throat, swab came out negatively so the PA stated that I had a virus. However, I walked out with a bag full of items to help with feeling sick. She said the swab will get sent to a lab, if it comes out positive she'll call me to get the name of a pharmacy for antibiotics.

Always a pleasant experience. I recommend this clinic to anyone. My girls have been going there since birth and are now graduating. My senior from last year didn't want to get a new doctor and go elsewhere. Great customer service and doctors and nurses.

Because my doctor's office is not open all week, I have used the services of Salem Health Urgent Care several times. Until the COVID pandemic, I know they took walkins but I found that by making an appointment my wait time was never more than 5 mins. From the receptionist to the doctors/nurse practioners to the lab staff all have all been professional and spent the time to make a thorough exam and explain my recommended treatment. Prescriptions were promptly sent to my pharmacy so they were ready when I got there. I love my own doctor but having this urgent care there when he is not available and not having to go to the emergency room for help is a great relief and I appreciate each and everyone that works there.

Overview of STD Testing in Monmouth

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, especially if they have multiple partners or have had unprotected sex. This includes both heterosexual and homosexual individuals, as well as those who inject drugs. According to the CDC, specific groups that are at a higher risk for STDs include young people aged 15-24, gay and bisexual men, and pregnant women.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not show any symptoms, meaning you could be infected and not know it. Secondly, untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, including infertility, cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent these complications. Furthermore, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to others.
