I got up coughing and wheezing and had called night before to schedule appointment for next morning, since started having problems. I was able to get one at 10 am on Sunday. The only problem I had was the check in on line. I had put in all information and when I went in, they could find where I had already filled out. I had to start filling out the paperwork by hand. Was not feeling well at all, but continued doing what they had me do. The person on front desk said maybe the system was not working right. Other than that I had a good visit. Dr Beene was very empathetic and got a breathing treatment b re fore I left. Great visit, the one administering the treatment was very nice and attentive!!! Thank you 😊 g

Woke up with flu-like symptoms and did a walk-in visit; I was promptly greeted. A few minutes after check-in, I was called to the back. After vitals, I didn’t wait longer than 5 minutes for my provider. Everyone was kind, prompt, polite, and friendly. I would definitely recommend!

The receptionist never greeted me when I entered the office. She was not at the desk but was back in another office talking to another staff member. My first interaction with anyone was when the nurse called my name to be seen. The nurse and Dr were professional and friendly. When I walked back to the front there was still no one at the desk. The receptionist was again in the other room talking to another staff member. I said excuse do I need to check out and she said no you’re good. Very poor communication.

I was so happy about the location being so close to my house. Was good parking available and was seen in about 30 minutes. The nurse took my blood for my blood test and was patience enough because my blood was low. I had a good experience. Thank you.

Overview of STD Testing in Arlington

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, sexually active adults, particularly those with multiple partners, should get tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is also important for those who have had unprotected sex, or have symptoms such as unusual discharge, burning during urination, or sores in the genital area. It's also worth noting that some STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they present no symptoms, making regular testing crucial for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a vital part of maintaining good sexual health. Early detection can prevent serious health complications, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Additionally, knowing your STD status can help prevent the spread of these diseases to others. According to the CDC, many STDs are curable, and all are treatable, so early detection and treatment can significantly improve health outcomes.

Prevalence of STDs in Arlington

Arlington, located in Tarrant County, TX, has seen an increase in STD cases over the years, mirroring national trends. According to the CDC, the most common STDs in the area are chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Comparatively, Arlington's STD rates are higher than those in nearby Hill and McCulloch counties but lower than Caddo and De Soto parishes.

Risk factors related to STDs in Arlington

Several factors contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Arlington. These include high rates of unprotected sex, lack of regular testing, and limited access to sexual health education and resources. Additionally, social determinants of health such as poverty, lack of transportation, and stigma associated with STD testing can also contribute to higher rates of infection. It's important for residents to be aware of these risk factors and take proactive steps such as regular testing, use of protection during sex, and seeking out reliable health information and resources.
