Have had healing problems with finger injury first seen at the office several weeks ago. Saw a doctor at my local clinic bit still had problems after 3 weeks of medications. My doctor couldn't see me in a timely manner and recommended I see the same doctor who originally saw me at Urgent care. I went in to the Urgent Care office and they immediately recognized me and got me in right away. The doctor changed the medication since it wasn't working and referred me to wound care at Washington Regional with a notice of critical care for quicker service. The care was efficient, friendly and very knowledgable. I would recommend anyone in need of urgent medical service to go to this location.

I love the fact I can sit in my truck because I don’t want to be around flu or Covid, but the new provider they had today treated me like I was just dumb & looking for a handout. I have NEVER had issues there before until today. Even the nurse taking my bp got more info from me than the “doctor” did, and the nurse knew my breathing was messed up just talking to me. The “doctor” said my lungs were fine, totally clear, & told me to put a warm washcloth & use a blowdryer on my ears that had been hurting pretty bad for 2 weeks. She very briefly looked in them & said there was no infection so I was fine. She didn’t ask for what brought me in, that there were more things than just ear pain- NOTHING!!! She just wanted me right out that door, but she wanted to know if I needed my release papers - what for? So I could remember the hair dryer & warm washcloth cloth trick?  Bring back the former providers/doctors/APRNs who have worked here because they were all so wonderful. NOO! The provider I saw today, I absolutely would not recommend.

About Vitamin B12 Testing

Vitamin B12 Testing is a diagnostic test that measures the level of vitamin B12 in the blood. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in red blood cell formation, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. Testing for vitamin B12 levels helps identify deficiencies that can lead to various health issues, including anemia and neurological problems.

Who Should Get Tested

Residents of Lincoln, Arkansas, experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, or tingling sensations in hands and feet may benefit from Vitamin B12 Testing. Additionally, individuals with certain risk factors, such as strict vegetarian or vegan diets, gastrointestinal disorders, or prior gastrointestinal surgeries, may also need testing.

Test Methods for Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 Testing is typically performed through a blood sample. The most common test is the serum vitamin B12 test, which measures the amount of vitamin B12 in the blood. Another method is the methylmalonic acid (MMA) test, which can help assess vitamin B12 deficiency in its early stages.

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of Vitamin B12 Testing results involves analyzing the level of vitamin B12 in the blood. Low levels may indicate a deficiency that requires further evaluation and treatment.

Importance of Vitamin B12 Testing

Vitamin B12 Testing is important for:

  • Diagnosing vitamin B12 deficiency
  • Identifying potential causes of anemia and neurological symptoms
  • Guiding appropriate treatment, including vitamin B12 supplementation

Following the Test

After Vitamin B12 Testing, healthcare providers discuss the results with individuals and recommend appropriate interventions based on the test findings. Treatment options may include dietary changes, oral or intramuscular vitamin B12 supplements, or further investigation into the underlying cause of the deficiency.
