Came here to have foot xrayed after mishap on stairs. I no longer live in this area and did not want to go to the ER. The staff at check in, the nurse, doctor and xray tech were all very professional and friendly. Excellent care and facility!

Recent COVID-19 Testing Reviews (20)

I got tested here last week & i had a really good experience the front desk people & nurse were very kind. I got another COVID test today & the girl who did my test was rude. She aggressively shoved the Cotton swab in my nose very fast and with strength. I yelled at the pain and started tearing. After the first swab i needed a minute i told her that the other lady didn’t hurt me like this. The lady who did the swab wasn’t sorry nor asked if i was okay. She really hurt me & i told her i needed a minute after the swab due to the fact like i felt a she stabbed me with a knife because if her aggressive and fast behavior. I’m really upset and my nose still hurts. That pain wasn’t normal i’ve gotten COVID tested multiple times before & that was my worst experience.

we had actually visited your Wall location on Sat with our 6 year old Beau Spader for Covid testing. The person that assisted us never said who she was, her position etc. her bedside manner was severely lacking in care & concern and was not informative at all .......my son tested negative on the rapid so we had to request a PCR , she seemed annoyed that we requested this, our PCR came back positive ..... this prompted our next scheduled testing for the rest of our family. We decided to use the Hazlitt location .... What a drastic difference in care ...... The receptionist was immediately welcoming and processed us quickly. I had downloaded the App so most of our information was there. We were seen within 2 mins of arrival by C.Illvento who immediately introduced herself and her position and the care she would be providing. She was gentle , empathetic and caring to my sons and myself. I can’t say enough about this location and how kind and professional she was. The nurse that administered the test also did so with care..... thank you for taking such good care of my family. I wish my 6 year old experienced the same.

It was my 1st getting the nose swab Covid test. Honestly the nurse gave examples of what to expect and they were right on point. Plus she was really gentle while the sample was being taken. It really wasn’t bad at all. Not sure why everyone gets all worked up it about the nose swab because that’s a much more accurate test if I’m gonna be tested. I recommend anyone interested in getting tested this facility is the place to go. The one in Edgewater, by Trader Joe’s. Just before you go down to the office, 1st download the Solv app to your phone. Once you go inside you put in your phone number into the iPad. Really easy and safe to check in. Then you fill out the rest of your information from the privacy of your car. Takes about 3-5 minutes. After that you see your place in line which is kinda cool. The office will text you once they have a room ready for you to come inside. Your test results will be emailed to you generally in about 1-2 days depending on how many people are being tested in that period of time. I recommend this place if your interested in being tested. Thumbs up.

From the moment I walked into your facility I was greeted professionally, courteously , and kindly by Trish. When nurse Jasmine saw me she was also patient, kind and Caring. Jasmine had to take blood. She did a fabulous job! Jasmine was able to find my vein on her first attempt and did not hurt me. While swabbing my nose for the COVID test jasmine was extremely gentle. When Dr. Davis saw me he was fantastic ! Dr. Davis was patient, caring and extremely professional . He asked me many questions about my symptoms and how I was feeling. Dr. Davis checked my throughly. Dr. Davis explained what I was experiencing and made me feel very comforted. After I left your facility Dr. Davis called me as a follow up on when I should expect the results of my blood, urin test and my COVID test. Two days after my blood samples were taken Dr. Davis called me with my results. Again Dr. Davis reviewed my test results and explained each of my test results. I highly recommend using your facility and your staff! Respectfully a very satisfied patient

I came in to the facility at 2:21pm gave my name and was told to fill out the iPad and then wait in my car. As such, I went to my car and completed the paperwork online as indicated. This all wrapped up probably by 2:30pm. Then at 3:26pm the facility called to verify my name and why I was there I told her I was waiting for a PCR covid test and that I’m in a Hyundai palisade. She asked me a few more questions and then said she’d be right out. Called me again at 3.29p to ask what type of car I’m in. I explained that I’m in a Hyundai palisade. She said ok I’ll be right out. At 3.53pm I called and spoke to receptionist and said I’m waiting in the parking lot for a PCR Covid test and they said they’d be out shortly to administer the test but they haven’t come out yet and I was wondering if she is having trouble finding my car. The receptionist asked me to hold, came back and said that she just spoke to the girl and that she said I’m ok to go. And I said I am? Even though I haven’t received what it is I’m here to receive…a PCR COvid test. The receptionist said that the girl told her she already tested me and I assured her that no one has been out to my car. Eventually the girl came out and performed the procedure and told me that she thought the last person she did was me. So after spending 1 and 1/2 hours in your parking lot do to confusion, when I do get my results…I’m not 100% confident that the results are mine or those of someone else’s that she thought was me and possibly mislabeled and sent in. Very concerning. And when I arrived the waiting room had one person in there so backlog wasn’t the issue.

I highly recommend this place to go when not feeling well or Covid testing needs to be done. The staff of doctors, nurses and even the receptionist are so kind and polite. The first time I came I had recently lost my daughter and her husband to Covid, so I came to get Covid tested and also because I was feeling terrible with a sinus infection and unexplained dizziness. Their compassion was overwhelming. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and vertigo, the doctor took her time to examine me and also explained how stress could add to the vertigo. Would I recommend this facility, I sure would ! The wait time was less than 15 minutes, I did not feel rushed at all and all attention was on me. So yes yes yes, if you can’t be seen by your primary care doctor, this is the place to go.

In these times, I expected to wait at least an hour, especially since I was a walk in. The front staff and the staff taking my vitals couldn't have been nicer. I understand you are very busy but I did expect to spend more than 2 or 3 minutes with your nurse practitioner. She informed me that she would be doing a covid test and that if it was positive I would have to quarantine for 2 weeks. She listened to my lungs and said she would be calling a prescription into my pharmacy. She asked if I was vaccinated and when I said yes she said "Never mind. I" m not going to do a covid test". She said it would be awhile before she could call in the prescription because she had other patients to see....and she was gone. Never told me what she suspected was the problem. Never asked if I had any questions. At 4:30, I called the office and left a message asking about the prescription. It is now after 6pm and still no call from CVS that a prescription is ready for me. If she had given me 30 seconds more of her time, she could have ordered the prescription. I would have been able to start the medication hours ago and she would have one less thing to deal with in her obviously busy schedule.

I had some trouble with the website using my smartphone and the staff was very nice with my repeat calls. Once I switched to a laptop it worked perfect. I had the call from the nurse then the visit with the doctor. (Kudos it was within ten minutes of my scheduled time!) I came over for the Covid test, had a ten minute wait due to a printer malfunction in their office and the nurse could not apologize enough! Goodness, it was only ten minute! I’ve waited an hour plus in other doctors offices with no apology or explanation so AFC’s approach was a very nice and refreshing change. I chose AFC urgent care for their reputation at getting Covid results quickly but I’ll come back to AFC because of the incredible staff and how amazing they treat the patients! Thank you for a positive experience!

I went twice for a PCR test and a rapid Covid test to have before I went back to school when there was a Covid outbreak and before Thanksgiving day to keep my family safe since I only have one vaccination so far. I walked in both times and the wait time was 15 minutes to an hour which was amazing as a walk-in. Both times they came out with the rapid test within 15 to 20 minutes and my PCR test came back in less than 48 hours. All the staff is extremely friendly and answer to my questions as professional and well as possible. I highly recommend this place compared to other ones that my friends and family have told me about! Thank you to all the staff and the corporation running the place as well as possible!

First went to cityMD were they told me it was a 45 minute wait. An hour later they told me it would be at least an hour more. Their rapid Covid test will take 30 minutes and PCR will take 5 to 7 days. I left and found prompt MD. It was easy to register, your website told me how many people were before me, the text I received was from an actual person. Your rapid test took 10 minutes which is important because I was there with my child and your PCR will take 2 days. I was pulling back into my driveway when I received a text from city MD that they were ready for me. Will always go yo you instead. Thank you.

I’ve been here twice. The first time everyone was so friendly and waiting for my appointment was so fast (I’ve visited other centers for a COVID test and waited hours after checking in). Going the second time I was sure that I probably got lucky for my first visit and it would not be the same the second time around- but nope! Everyone here is extremely friendly, I barely waited; whether it be to get checked in or waiting in my car to get called to go inside for testing. I also received my results quickly both times. I don’t ever leave reviews but my experience here was amazing and I would highly recommend. There are other centers closer to my home, I will most likely continue to drive further to come here if need be in the future.

My second visit for testing today -- everyone was friendly except for the receptionists. (On my first visit, my receptionist was very sweet and helpful.) The temperature reader was unplugged this time around.. which was odd. There were two receptionists present on this particular visit and the one that chose to speak to me had an apparent attitude. I had come for my 5:30 appt and informed her why I was here. She was very short and not friendly at all. I just wish she was kind enough to understand that not everyone is savvy to which covid test is which. She just kept asking me which one was I there for in a stern voice without explaining to me the difference between the two. She did mention the costs of course. While I was explaining to her why I was here for my return visit and she would blankly stare with silence as if I was speaking another language. It was very frustrating and confusing dealing with her. The clinical staff was amazing as they were on my first visit.

It was a okay experience. I went in for chest congestion and coughing. They gave me a COVID test and came back and said it was negative. Mind you I knew I didn’t have COVID I had already had it recently. They were just going to send me home with my negative results and no other explanation. I could possibly have bronchitis and nothing was checked. He did a quick lung check over my hoodie on my back and said it was clear. Yet I’m coughing up mucus. It just seemed like they wanted me in and out. I wanted a hour just to be given cough medicine and an inhaler abs no other details. It seems like it’s either you have COVID or you don’t and that’s it. I think the bed side manner as disappeared. Oh and I’m still sick going on 2 weeks now.

I was 10th in the app line however, considering we are in A pandemic and you wait in your car I don’t think it was that bad. I refreshed the app every 5 minutes and I would work myself down. The place was very clean, employees were very friendly, the doctor was cool. They gave me a rapid Covid test because I had a sore throat and ear ache but I was negative. I have an ear infection and a virus. They called my script into my pharmacy and handed me my paperwork. My primary was not in however, called me as I was pulling into Riverside Urgent Cares parking lot. I would definitely go to Riverside Urgent Care in Runnemede, NJ. Friendly, clean, and accurate with the what was wrong with me.

There were two people at the front desk when I walked in on 11/13 @ 6:00pm. One was dealing with a patient and the other was WATCHING a MOVIE. I stood there trying to make eye contact so he can check me in and it took a few mins of me standing for him to recognize me. As I went towards him I can see he was watching a MOVIE on his laptop even though he saw me and my mother coming in. However, the tech or nurse who swabbed our nose for the COVID test was a very nice man who cared about the service he was providing. He deserves a raise while the employee watching movies at the check In point needs to be disciplined.

This is my 3rd time over the past few months that I have been to this location for Covid testing. The first 2 times everything & everyone was AMAZING!! This time I also came for a Covid test and the staff Stacy that was assigned to take my vitals as well as perform my Covid test was THEE ABSOLUTE WORSE from her attitude to her poor bedside manner and want to be argumentative with me when I asked for someone else to do my test. The first issue was when she went to take my temperature with the “under tongue” thermometer and I pulled my mask down she said “no keep your mask on” and was about to insert the thermometer in MY NOSE! Then she corrected herself and proceeded to take it under my tongue. Next she starts to perform my Covid swab test and aggressively dug deep in my nose and swirled the swab more then 15 or so times AGGRESSIVELY...when I moved in discomfort she rudely said “you need to stay still” When I explained to her that this is my 3rd Covid test here and nobody else aggressively dug that deep and long she rudely said “well we all have our own technique” At that point I asked for someone else to perform the test and Wendy came in and did so with ease! As I was explaining to Wendy what the issue was with Stacy all of a sudden Stacy popped back into the explain herself. When I was done I spoke with the office manager Jessica and she was also very professional & pleasant like all of the other staff besides Stacy. I will continue to use this facility but not Stacy. Even if she was having a bad day like we all do sometimes...her unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

The staff was super friendly and the check-in was seamless. However, my appointment scheduled online was for 9am for a COVID test so that I could be in and out of the facility. I checked in and had to wait for over 45 min. While waiting in the waiting room I received a call from the office however was not aware that would be happening so did not know who was calling. I called back the number to watch the receptionist answer my call and then place me on hold. Then received another call from same number to confirm my name, birthday, weight, height and reason for visit all while sitting in the office outside of the reception desks. It was defiantly a weird process and to only be in the actual room with the technician for 3 minutes.

I came in Sunday morn, and the girl in front of me was getting a rapid COVID test , she was asked to sign in on the pad which she did with her bare fingers, then she had to wait outside, when I went up the girl asked me to sign in on the pad , I said no because you didn’t sanitize the pad the girl Just signed in on , she looked at me and said “well we do it every hour” OK seriously that is not an answer, that pad should’ve been sanitized after everybody signed in,actually it probably shouldn’t even be used, it is probably better just to put the information in with the receptionist! I asked her to please sanitize it and she did not , she said I’ll just take your information here ,,,, so you have a girl coming in possibility with Covid, using her fingers to sign in on a pad, and you expect me to sign in after her ?? That is the reason I would not recommend this place, and that was an unacceptable answer, “We sanitize every hour “ !! your policy needs to be changed but other than that everything else was fine !

I have know Dan Murtha thru business networking, many years. He has always dine amazing work with overall operation. I got to witness that when I set up and had a COVID test. I called s few days ahead, to schedule. The lovely female staff member instructed me that if I fo online to register the day before (8am is when schedule is set up for next day) that I should be able to get 3 appts in together, without trouble. Wed, I had alittle difficulty registering my hubby. I called and spoke to Clinical staff member Erica. She assisted me with online registration. I was stressed with the idea that my hubby had been exposed to the virus, and myself and my mother in law also had to be tested. I wanted to make sure that all 3 of us were tested in 10 min time frames consecutively. Erica was compassionate to my needs, registering us from her end. I was able to fill out insurance from my phone easily. I liked how I was informed via text, and could check my wait time. I arrived 20 mins early, and did not have a long wait time. Outside of building looked clean and neat. Inside was decorated in relaxing neutral colors with a modern feel. Immaculate! Very large waiting area allowed seating to be properly spaced, and then some! Aliki Galandos took our info from car, called us to come in, and brought us back to complete testing. She was patient, answering all of our questions cheerfully. She explained process and allowed time for any other questions.(first time for all of us!). She explained timing of pcr test results, and how to retrieve them thru Lab Corp online. Excellent experience. We left extremely satisfied. I have always referred family and friends to this Urgent Care since I met Dan, and saw his passion regarding his extremely well run front end staff and clinical team. This week I got to witness the great care myself, and I was not disapointed!

Cape May Court House COVID Testing & Rapid Testing

Types of COVID Tests

There are two types of coronavirus tests (COVID-19 tests) available, those that can test for a current infection (viral test) and those that can test for a past infection (antibody test).

Viral COVID testing can be done in a few different ways, the most common being nose swabs, but saliva tests are becoming more popular. Some tests are processed out on-site and can provide results in as little as 30 minutes. These are called rapid COVID tests. The majority of tests, on the other hand, are collected at the clinic on-site and then submitted to off-site labs for processing. Results can take up to 2-3 days to arrive.

Antibody testing looks for a past infection and may not reveal if you have an active COVID-19 infection because antibodies can take up to three weeks to form in your body. The presence of COVID antibodies may help to prevent you from becoming infected with the same virus again; but, because the clinical understanding of COVID-19 is still developing, it's unclear how long that protection will continue.

Who should get tested for current infection

The CDC currently defines four instances where COVID testing is recommended:

  1. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
  2. If you have been in close contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19. Close contact is defined as within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. If you have been vaccinated, or tested positive in the past 3 months and not experiencing symptoms, you do not need to be tested.
  3. If you are unvaccinated and participated in high-risk activities where distancing is not an option. This could include travel, large social or mass gatherings, crowded indoor settings, etc.
  4. If you have been referred to get a COVID test by your healthcare provider or local health department.

How is testing done for COVID-19?

Most COVID tests are collected by a nasal swab. A member of the medical team puts a swab inside your nose for a few seconds on each side to collect the sample. After that, the samples are packaged according to CDC guidelines and tested on-site or transported to a facility for testing. The lab will test samples for the presence of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes COVID infection and either your care provider or the lab will notify you with the results as soon as they are available.

PCR vs Antigen Testing

Viral COVID tests are available as molecular and antigen tests. The molecular test, also known as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, usually delivers results within a few days since most of these tests are sent to offsite labs for analysis. The average turnaround time for PCR test results is 48 hours, but in some instances may be significantly longer due to backlogs related to insufficient lab volume and capacity. Antigen tests are also known as rapid tests and have an average turnaround time of between 15 to 30 minutes.

Both PCR and rapid COVID tests can be used to test people exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, those who were close contacts to COVID-19, and those without COVID-19 symptoms who live or work in a high-risk setting (such as a nursing facility); or those individuals who are identified as part of outbreak detection and response. The rapid COVID test is also recommended for the screening of residents or healthcare workers at skilled nursing facilities along with a PCR confirmation, and for repeat screening for the early detection and prevention of outbreaks in congregate settings (such as schools, workplaces, and prisons).

COVID testing is available for free under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which includes testing for those without health insurance. To reduce the risk of facing extra costs related to COVID testing, ask your primary care doctor to recommend a free COVID test site, and confirm there are no charges or fees for the test that are not covered by your insurance plan. Additionally, avoid getting a COVID test at a hospital or free-standing emergency room, as these facilities may charge fees for COVID testing and related services.

COVID-19 Testing FAQs

  • How much does COVID testing cost in Cape May Court House?

In many cases, COVID testing can be free. Many state and local health departments continue to offer free testing to community residents as part of their response to the pandemic. In other cases, commercially insured patients, or those on Medicare or Medicaid, may receive testing at no out of pocket cost, or with a nominal office visit copay. For cash paying patients, or those that need rapid COVID testing which will deliver results in under an hour, COVID tests can range from $50 to $150 each. It is best to call your healthcare provider prior to getting tested to better understand the cost of the specific test you require.

  • Where can I get free COVID testing in Cape May Court House?

COVID testing is available for free under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which includes testing for those without health insurance. Check with your Cape May Court House-area health department as they are generally a good source for free COVID tests, or can at least point you in the right direction. Additionally, you can ask your primary care provider to recommend a free COVID test site.

  • Where can I get COVID testing in Cape May Court House?

COVID testing is available at many outlets near Cape May Court House including urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care offices, health departments, and more. Different venues will have different types of tests available, many at different price points. Some testing sites are allowing walk-in patients, however, many are still requiring some degree of advance booking to control patient volume.

  • Where can I get a rapid COVID test in Cape May Court House?

Rapid testing—both PCR (molecular) and antigen tests—is offered through many Cape May Court House-area urgent care centers and physician offices, usually at an additional cost ranging from $50 up to $150 per test. Usually this will allow you to get results back in under an hour, and require advanced booking through the provider. However, if you can wait 24 hours for your results, many labs are turning around send-out lab tests in that time frame, which could save you some money.

  • How to make an appointment for COVID testing in Cape May Court House?

Same-day and next day appointments for COVID testing in Cape May Court House are bookable directly through Solv. Simply browse the list of healthcare providers conducting COVID tests above, find one with a “Book Online” button, and book a time that aligns with your schedule stating “COVID-19 Test” as your reason for visit.

  • Can I get tested for antibodies if I am sick with COVID-19 Cape May Court House?

An antibody test for COVID-19 might inform you if you previously had a coronavirus infection. Because it can take between 1–3 weeks after an infection for your body to develop these antibodies, an antibody test during an active infection would not be successful. To see if you are currently infected, you need a viral test.

  • Do I need a COVID test if I have been vaccinated?

Even if you have been fully vaccinated, if you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, experts believe that you should be tested yourself, particularly if you are experiencing cold and flu symptoms commonly aligned with the coronavirus.

  • How long does COVID testing take?

Getting a COVID test is quick. Most tests are done with a nasal swab, which takes less than a minute to swab both nostrils. Depending on where you get your COVID test, this means you could be in and out of the testing site in as little as 10-15 minutes. During busy times—particularly around holidays—testing sites may be busier than usual and wait times may be longer.

  • How long does it take to get COVID test results in Cape May Court House?

Most labs are returning send-out molecular (PCR) COVID test results within 24-48 hours of the test. Some sites take longer, so call and ask if the reason for the test is proof for travel. Rapid COVID tests are processed on-site and are able to deliver results in under an hour, sometimes in as little as 15 min.

  • Do COVID tests detect the Delta variant and Omicron variant?

Regular COVID tests are able to detect both the Delta variant and Omicron variant in that they can determine whether or not you have the coronavirus. However, they can't tell which variation is involved. That would necessitate genomic sequencing, which is a different process from regular virus testing that not all labs can undertake. Sequencing is uncommon and can cost up to $100 per test. Since the treatment is the same for any variant, it is not clinically useful to an individual patient to know whether the infection was caused by a variant or not.
