My 2 year old was really sick and we took her in on a Sunday evening about 20 minutes before they closed. We were not rushed, everyone was so kind and took their time. I really appreciated everyone’s care and kindness.

The person (not sure if it was an MA or RN) who took my sons weight, the pulse ox, temp and completed nasal swab for Covid testing could have had a bit better bed side manner. He did not advise me or my son what he was going to do before he did it. Basically came up from behind him grabbed his finger and put the pulse ox on. He did the same w the Covid test. It seemed a bit aggressive snd just very robotic. Mind you my son is 2. I realize his age and communication skills. but at least let me know. Or maybe engage w him for a second before basically sneaking up from behind and sticking a cotton swab up his nose? I guess I expected a little more compassion from a pediatric facility. This would not happen to an adult when being seen in a medical facility. It should not happen to children either. The MD we saw was very kind and had much better bedside manner.

We love every part of PM Pediatrics. Love the Doctors, quick access to X-rays and of course the interaction with the kids. PM pediatrics offers world class care without the wait or hassle of an emergency room. Kids are the priority. My only complaint is the check in. Computer systems will create multiple profiles for your kids. Very frustrating when billing gets crossed, children get confused and you have start fresh each visit.

Both of my children needed a Covid test to go back to school. Scheduling was easy and done online. We parked in the designated spot and a staff member came out to swab both kids’. It was very easy and quick (I think we were there less than 5 minutes) and my 6 year old son said “she was very cute” about the nurse or tech who took the swab. She was excellent with handling both kids. Would definitely recommend the clinic!

No appointment, we walked in and had a friendly greeting. I was asked a few questions and then asked again to wait in the car and fill out paperwork through my phone. As soon as I was done they had a room waiting for me we were seen very quickly. The entire staff was great and treated my daughter the way we all want our kids treated! Great place! Thank you & Stay Safe!

I’m a new mom, my son is only 4 months old so just the experience alone of him being sick can be stressful, scary, and nerve wrecking. Today my sons pediatricians office Century-Airport Pediactrics told me to take him to a Pediatric Urgent Care asap and gave me your location and a location on Mapple Rd in Williamsville. I chose to come there because it’s closer to my house and I absolutely loved it from the cleanliness, how friendly and helpful the receptist was when greeting up as we first arrived, to the doctors knowledge and bedside manner I would highly recommend your facility

Watching the staff engage with the kids is absolutely amazing. They engage with the patients in a way that makes them feel comfortable and let’s their voice be heard. They are also great with the parents in the way that they explain things and never make you feel silly for getting something checked out.

My son is terrified of doctor visits so I wasn't expecting a great experience when we went to get his Covid test done. We were able to stay in the car for the tests (both kids were tested together), we had a very short wait time, and the person administering the swab was extremely pleasant and patient. We had a phenomenal experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

This is the first time that I had use the urgent care. I went to urgent care in New Rochelle on Huguenot Street which was excellent the staff and the people were very friendly and they treated me with kid gloves. I had gotten x-rays done I saw the doctor and she had informed me that I had seven fractured ribs on my right side and that she contacted my primary doctor and he suggested that I get a CAT scan to check my lungs to make sure that they were in punctured. She did she wrote up a script and I went to your other Westmed I’ve been Rye which was very nice also they contacted them and when I got there they took me in right away the radiologist her name was Donna she was very nice very sweet and said to me let me know if I hurt you while I was lying down on the CAT scan table because of my seven fractured ribs I really really appreciate all the work and service that I had gotten. I take your service over the surface of the emergency room in a hospital. The wait time was not bad at all both at New Rochelle because I had made the appointment The day before and they had advised Westmed and Rye that I was coming up the wait time was no time at all.

You really need to hire more than one front desk person. She is overwhelmed and things are completely log jammed there. We had the first appointment of the day at 8a and weren’t seen until after 830. A desperate father came in to get their Covid results so their kid could go back to school (same day Monday). He said he had emailed and called and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. She told him “well I’m only one person”. She then printed his results which obviously had just been sitting there. I got a rapid test because I was afraid of having a similar experience getting a pcr test- I found it near impossible to get the actual results the last time I did it as well and had to come in. You are doing a heavy volume of testing but do not have a proper plan in place to give people the results of pcr tests. And you have one front desk receptionist left to deal with everyone and everything. It’s a case of being cheap in the wrong place .

From the time we walked in I felt completely comfortable. The receptionist was awesome welcoming and efficient. The nurse who administered covid test was friendly and very good with my daughter and nurse was also great the np was patient and kind. Made sure we were well taken care of. Even gave us 2 freezie pops :) Our Peds office couldn’t get her in today so it’s nice to know we have a place that can see her in case this happens again. The facility was super clean and it’s obvious that this is a great place for kids to get treatment. Would definitely recommend Peds urgent care. Thanks for everything ladies. Most of all treating my baby :)

Had to wait a bit, but outstanding care as always. Highly recommend. My pediatrician was not able to see us for four days for a covid test for my son to return to school. You were able to help and with a negative test he can return in two days. Thank you! You save my vacation time at work and my son can get back to school!

No wait, our nurse was so patient with my 10 ur old daughter who was nervous. She was patient, spoke in a calm voice was supportive. Great experience. We have gone to PM pediatrics recently and they were not patient which I was surprised since they service kids only. Would come back here before I go back there.

I came in with extreme pain around my kidney and everyone was so accommodating. They gave me something for the pain and after they sent me to radiology diagnosed me and treated me immediately. I was at urgent care for several hours and everyone there was so helpful and nice. The doctor even brought my mom and I a snack because we hadn’t eaten in hours. Westmed white plains has the best urgent care staff!!! I can’t thank them enough!

Everyone was fantastic and so great with my 2 year old from check in, to cleaning and taking care of her laceration. Front desk staff was kind, welcoming, and they had staff cleaning everything in the waiting area continuously. The PA and student we saw were so compassionate and clearly have a through understanding of workin with young kids. This upset, first time mom, with big first time accident was very pleased and reassured by all staff!

We were able to get a quick appointment online through Solv before we even left the house, and once we arrived, had a very short wait time. All staff including providers are so friendly and made my daughter and I comfortable, as they always have each time we have been there. I will continue to go here when it is outside pediatrician hours, and highly recommend it for anyone who needs care for their child!

My family is extremely grateful to have found Pediatric and Adolescent Care of WNY. I chose to make the hour drive as a last resort as all the local urgent cares were overbooked. The staff was kind and compationate and worked to provide care to as many patients as time allows. I am grateful he was able to be seen and given the quality of care any concerned parent would hope for.

We are so grateful for Pediatric Urgent Care. Everyone is always so wonderful to us. The nurses and doctors are so patient and kind. The front desk check in team is always welcoming. I can’t recommend them enough for care you need outside of your doctors office hours. I also love the option to reserve a time in advance to cut down on wait time.

I am very upset that you no longer take my health plan or my kids Healy plan. I really have relied on you for our care for many years and now we are no longer covered and have to pay out of pocket if we chose to use you. You should take ALL healthcare plans.

Pediatric Urgent Care FAQs

  • What is pediatric urgent care?

Pediatric urgent care specializes in providing medical attention to children facing non-life-threatening health issues outside of traditional doctor's office hours. It's a bridge between regular pediatric appointments and the emergency room, offering a viable option for late-night, weekend, or holiday healthcare needs. These centers work alongside conventional pediatricians to handle mild to serious ailments, ensuring children receive the care they need without the unnecessary stress and often higher costs associated with emergency room visits.

  • Are Buffalo children’s urgent care centers open after hours?

Yes, most children's urgent care centers are designed to offer extended hours, catering to urgent medical needs after traditional pediatrician office hours. These facilities occassionally operate as 24-hour children's urgent care or provide night urgent care services, ensuring parents have access to healthcare for their children during the late hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • How much will a pediatric urgent care visit in Buffalo cost?

The cost of a pediatric urgent care visit in various cities can vary, generally ranging from $100 to $175 for those paying cash, with most establishments charging between $100 and $125 for basic treatments not covered by insurance. This initial cost usually does not include additional services such as medication, vaccine shots, lab testing, and X-rays, which could further increase the total expense. It's important to note that even insured patients may have to make co-payments. For more specific pricing, contacting the local urgent care you are looking to visit directly.

  • What are common services of pediatric urgent care in Buffalo?

Pediatric urgent care centers offer a wide range of services to address common childhood illnesses and injuries. These include treatment for colds, flu, strep throat, ear and sinus infections, pink eye, and pneumonia. Additionally, they provide care for stings and bug bites, allergic reactions, wounds and burns, ingested objects, sprains, and broken bones. These facilities ensure children receive timely care for their health concerns in environments specially equipped to cater to their needs, often enabling a faster and more comfortable experience than what might be found in an emergency room setting.
