I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Labcorp for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I received texts prior to coming in confirming my appointment and the a text to check in when i arrived. Heidi took my insurance card and ID the saw me to a room. She took thorough history of symptoms, and check with Melissa APRN to see whst tests to run! Heidi explained test and how it would go and length of time it would take. Melissa was friendly took thorough history and explained all the tests she would run and how long results would take. In mean time she prescribed medications and informed me when test results would likely be back. Melissa also included what OTC remedies I could use for symptoms. Overall a great experience especially when I was feeling so awful. Great job highly recommend to others in this community! Thank you!.

Appt was at 10:40. I walked in, was immediately greated by a very friendly nurse who escorted me to an exam room. She entered information about my illness and insurance into the computer and processed my co-pay. Another nurse took my temp, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen level. Very soon after, the doctor came in to discuss my symptoms and examed my ears, nose, throat and breathing. She discussed medicine options to decide best approach for me to proceed. She ordered prescriptions from my chosen pharmacy and sent me on my way. It was my best overall experience with seing a physician. No delays in waiting room or exam room. Fast friendly service that involved my thoughts on the decision on the treatment chosen!

I came in with a UTI. But my blood pressure was high which I stated to them that it wasn’t normal for me and that I had burning in my chest the day before and a little when I walked in. So they did and ekg which came back normal. The doctor advised me to go to st Mary’s for blood work just in case. I went there and had a heart attack a couple hours later while I was there. You guys basically saved my life by giving me the right advise. I’m glad I listened!!

Thanks to the unaffordable healthcare act also known as Obama care I have insurance that has a high deductible so really doesn’t pay for anything. Before that people had insurance but that’s another story. Thank God you have blood work that is affordable for me I had to pay out-of-pocket which I have to anyways I was able to get my necessary blood work done for $120 thank you it’s hard for people like myself when you’re struggling to make ends meet and you have to do yearly bloodwork for the doctor at least I can ask for that if I plan ahead of time

Darlene did a fantastic job with the needle stick on my blood draw- normally I feel the jab and the needle in my arm the whole time I'm donating or getting blood drawn, but I unexpectedly did not feel a thing besides an initial tiny poke. Extremely atypical for my blood giving experience, but very thankful to have had Darlene!

Came to have blood drawn. The receptionist in the lab greeted me and said’ “Nice to see you again,” the wait time was like maybe ten minutes and I was delighted to see Dorethea (sp?), my FAV phlebotomist (she is IS so good). We had a good chat, she is so efficient - and painless! - and I was on my way. In and out in 22 minutes! We’ll done!!!

My physician is located in Gates Medical Building and they also provide a lab so I can have my lab work immediately following my appointment with my physician, which is very convenient. Normally, you can have your blood taken within minutes of signing in by one of the friendliest, professional lab techs. I would very highly recommend this medical facility.

I have to go to the Westlake UH Lab on Clague Rd frequently. At least once a week now sometimes twice weekly. I have for almost the last two years. I have to say they are the best. I have had blood drawn by The Cleveland clinics labs also. Your phlebotomist far exceed any other lab around! They get me on the first stick every time. I am a very hard stick. If you look at my records of lab draws from Westlake And I am sorry the 4 phlebotomist that work at the Westlake and clague bldg. I would like to say each of them are always pleasant, efficient, and very professional I can not say one is better than the other. They all deserve a commendation. Also your receptionist deserves recondition for a job well done. They work their butts off and you never see them just doing nothing. Even when their is a room full of patients waiting they get them thru quickly. Not like other labs I have gone to in the last 50 years.

Laura is amazing! Somehow I am lucky to get her each year & I call it my “Laura lotto” win. Very professional & calming to patients getting blood work done. Gentleman at the front desk was kind & professional. I appreciated him going the extra mile to alert us when it was our turn. We were waiting outside due to COVID & he made sure we knew when it was our turn. Wait time was fast considering how many patients were waiting! Great job by all!

They were so nice to fit me in. The nurse was amazing she knew how scared I was and she did everything she could to put me at ease. She was amazing at drawing blood I am so used to being stuck 5 or 6 times. I could not have asked for a better doctor, he knew I was freaking out and kept me calm and it was such an embarrassing situation I was in yet he was so professional.

After the blood draw I ran some errands. When I got home 30-45 minutes later and took off my jacket, I had multiple quarter sized fresh blood stains on my sweatshirt. When I took that off, blood was running down my arm and shooting out of the needle hole from under the bandage. My daughter was with me and is a witness. I had to put compression on the site and elevate my arm for over 15 minutes to stop the bleeding. I have never had an experience like this before!

I've always been super scared of needles, so giving blood terrifies me. I had Jasmine today. Super nice lady and best vampire I ever had! I barely even felt the needle prick, and I didn't feel any of the tube switches, and there were several today. Jasmine is a valuable asset to your company as she truly cares for her patients. I hope you give out bonuses, because she definitely deserves one!

Very good, very accommodating. However, I do not understand why you caused the Wyoming Street stand alone test site (behind Berry). The Berry site is not conducive to older people or those with mobility issues to have to park in garage and walk over to Berry. I wish you would rethink this move as the industry is going to more place based access vs making non hospital customers navigate big hospitals for a five minute blood test. Seeing a person with a walker trying to make way to the Berry Hospital is sad and reeks of customer inconsideration.

I went in and had to wait FOREVER. With that being said, nurse Aleisha kept me very updated. She let me know there was onlyone provider working and was realistic with my wait time. After I chose to wait, she continued to update me throughout my wait on what was going on. So shout out nurse Aleisha for making my visit there a lot less stressful than anticipated. And she made my blood draw a breeze! Provider Prim was very attentive to my concerns. She was quick AND efficient I have no complaints.

I have a history of passing out, particularly where large bloodwork panels are concerned, so I was a bit nervous coming in for my appointment. The staff was so welcoming, my request to be reclined was granted without hesitation, and the phlebotomists who looked after me were efficient, kind, and friendly when it came to drawing my blood. I walked out of my appointment feeling completely fine, and I have the staff to thank for that. I couldn’t recommend Springboro CompuNet more highly!

Everything was well staff wonderful . The only thing is I went in there around 2:30 pm because my asthma was bad . They gave me a steroid shot but could not give me a treatment due to covid . So they were supposed to call in me some albuterol vials for the nebulizer, and a steroid pill and high blood pressure pill. I went to pick up my prescription and the vials were never called in so the I had to call next care and was on hold for 25 mins to speak to someone and it is now 8:35 pm and I'm still waiting for my perception to be filled and need to do a breathing treatment to get some relief

My 10 year old son needed blood drawn and he has horrible sensory issues and has autism spectrum disorder . The thing is you would never know that he has problems . We were both met with nothing but kindness from all the staff. He was having a meltdown for a good 30 minutes and they never once lost their patience with him . Even though we were both having a terrible time for different reasons tuis staff is truly the most caring and compassionate I have ever seen . You should be truly proud of these people to represent your company ! Thank you isn’t enough !

When I got to AppleCare my wait time was a little longer than I expected, but you got to understand that with what’s going on with this Covid. I’ll be nice this time about the front staff maybe they where having a bad day. When I got to the back I couldn’t breathe through my nose due to my sinuses. When I tell you that I had the best group of people wait on me when I finally got in. Omg they explained everything what was going on step by step. Whenever they got ready to do anything they came in my room and explained everything unlike most places. My blood pressure was also very, very, high they were very concerned that. And after everything was done they made sure my blood was low before I left. They made me feel like they really cared about me and that’s what it’s all about. When I got home and told my husband how wonderful they were he said “I had the same people about 2 months ago when I went and they treated me the same way”. So thank you BRANDON, CHANTEL and JORDAN for everything you done for my husband and I it will never go unnoticed I’ve being bragging about you guys all night people. It’s because of wonderful people like you that will make people love and want to come back to visit AppleCare.

First time I have used Compunet located in UVMC. I’m sure glad I did. The staff was very welcoming and I went in quickly. The young lady who checked me in the room was friendly, efficient and easy to talk to. The young lady who drew my blood was so personable, professional and best of all so good at drawing blood which calmed my nerves and sure made me happy! Great experience at Compunet. Thanks!

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Beavercreek-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.

Blood Test FAQs

  • Where can I get a blood test in Beavercreek?

In general, blood tests are available at Beavercreek-area medical labs, urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and many local pharmacies. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you have your blood work results sooner.

  • How can I book a blood test in Beavercreek?

Regardless of the kind of blood test you are seeking, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Beavercreek-area labs and healthcare providers, filter by the test you want and find a top-rated blood testing location. Be sure to include “blood testing” as the reason for visit.

  • Where can I get blood work after hours in Beavercreek?

Outside routine work hours, most Beavercreek labs and primary care offices are closed, however, most of the area’s urgent care and retail clinics are open later than typical business hours and on weekends. Book an after-hours visit to get prompt, no-hassle care and get your blood test results faster.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for blood work in Beavercreek?

Same-day and next-day appointments for many blood tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Beavercreek-area providers, find a lab or draw station, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “blood work” as your reason for visit.

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Beavercreek?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Beavercreek?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Beavercreek today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.
