Today, I had to get my finger stitched up, and I must say, the process was incredibly painful—far more so than the original injury. Despite the unbearable pain, the doctor’s perseverance was commendable, and I appreciate their dedication. A special thanks to the medical staff for their efforts, and to myself for being an absolute beast of a man and enduring the ordeal with remarkable strength to hold back from causing him the same pain and the resilience to finish the job. Trauma Centers are hard to manage. A person of 60 having chest pain will get into the back room much faster than a flu victim or minor injury. Nonetheless, when you are in pain, the wait can seem forever, and as we wait, we get anxious and angry. I have been here several times. Yesterday, when I arrived the place was packed. My injury was bad enough to move me to the head of the line. Other times, I had to wait. Perspective is everthing! My doctor, Sanchez, as well as the staff were wonderful. Peace and all good things, in this life and the next.
