The actual wait time and front desk was fine and simple, but in the room the doctor was laughing/giggling that she could not find a vein in my arm and we had to keep trying. Not everyone goes to doctors or is comfortable with the process so just having a little more professionalism would have been better. I was also told a doctor would call ME to read my results but no one did so I called because I got them in my email and they told me I would need to pay again/schedule and appointment to discuss the results. So basically if you can't decode your results by numbers and lines in an email and decipher the issue via Google from there you basically paid for nothing.

Friendly Staff

This is the first place I actually liked everything was very clean people were friendly. Mostly loved how the nurses cleaned up and sanitizer before I entered the exam room. I really appreciated because it makes me feel safe and I know the person after will be safe as well! You guys are doing great! Keep up the good work! I know it isn't easy by how many people filled up the lobby In 10 minutes. Thanks again!

Short Wait Time

The front staff and medical assistant were very nice. They always have a short wait time which is a plus. However the physician I had was clearly in a rush and not really interested in listening to me concerns. She also called in my prescription under the wrong name and it took over an hour to sort it out at the pharmacy.

I came here and was greeted immediately by the fine staff at front desk. Within minutes I had a room and my vitals were taken. The medical assistant Karina was very kind and gentle when drawing my blood. She also helped me schedule a follow up and was patient with me as I took my time to think. Overall this clinic was very clean and I would highly recommend that anyone come here for a quick and pleasant visit.

Went in for covid testing and it was an easy set up and overall experience. Will definitely go back again for testing.

I was able to schedule an appointment for a Covid test one hour in advance and only had to wait a few minutes. It was very easy. Staff was courteous

The front desk were good But the one who did my daughter’s covid test was amazing and friendly. Thank you

- Verified patient on 11/18

Because of Covid it was a little difficult to get in…We had a scheduled appointment but it was delayed about a half an hour. The staff was great and doing their best to deal with an overwhelming situation of walk-ins and testing. It is New Year’s Eve so that makes matters even more difficult.

- Verified patient on 12/31

The girl giving the Covid test was super nice and made my daughter feel comfortable. Thanks!

- Verified patient on 1/23

Everything was timely & quick. Thank you the only concern is swab test does not seem sufficient. A 10 second poke into one nosetril is drastically opposite of other location tests. They swab both nostrils & ask to make 8 circulation on each side. Change techinic & that location would be a five all around.

- Verified patient on 9/19

Service for COVID-19 test provided was fair, time wait was less than an hour. Staff was kind and attentive.

- Verified patient on 10/11

Isabel was very knowledgeable on the different kinds of COVID testing as I am traveling and needed to be tested with 3 days of travel. She eased the frustration at the time of the appointment and when I got there.

I have used Cermak immediate care nearly a dozen times for COVID testing and they have the process down to a science. They are efficient and always timely, and the staff are always helpful and kind. I actually drive from Oak Park because they are better than any place in our neighborhood. Definitely recommend!

I was treated respectfully and serviced expeditiously. I did not see much of the facility because of the contamination control that the facility has in place so I cannot comment on the cleanliness. I was literally in the back testing area for 7 minutes in total.

Great people working here. Came here for some testing and didn’t realize it involved getting blood drawn. For some unreasonable reason I’ve always had a phobia of needles, especially blood drawn/IV. Been avoiding this stuff for a long time. Today I had to finally cross that bridge and deal with it. I was as nervous as I’ve ever been, but everyone was understanding about it. The male physician( Ramal?) was the most helpful. He did the blood work himself and pretty much held my hand during this. It was easy, didn’t really feel a thing. In the end, he helped me cross that bridge and I’m very thankful for it. It may seem like nothing, but this was a big deal for me. You guys helped me get through this silly fear. Thank you.

I was a walk in appointment for Covid testing and was able to constantly update my place in line with the app that you use. Our wait time was only 25 minutes, which was amazing.

- Verified patient on 9/30

Went in for a rapid covid test and it was quick and my results were ready in 15 minutes.

Everyone was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I was feeling awkward to get a Covid test but the staff help me to feel comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you so much do each one of you.

Cicero Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
