I went to the Kahului clinic. I do highly recommend this clinic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is the second visit here in the last 2 years. Definitely go here if you need urgent care but are unable to go to your regular doctor or don’t feel it requires going to the hospital. The only thing I was not satisfied with was the wait time. First it took 1 hr just to see me then another 1 & 1/2 hours after I was taken back to the exam room. I can sympathize with their increasing work load due to Covid but I believe after my tests were done they just forgot about me. I had to literally go look for someone to come back to my exam room after waiting 30 minutes for a test they said took 15 minutes. Sorry I usually don’t do these reviews. I still recommend them highly, just was disappointed with my wait time.

Had to wait TOO long for a “pee in the cup” test for a bladder infection. Said they had to clean the bathroom first! I was SO UNCOMFORTABLE!

The security liaison/welcome worker was amazing! He was so patient and helpful with all the people who came thinking that it was a drop in for the travel test. The nurses were also very efficient and nice too, even when there was a guy who came that didn’t want to wear a mask 😡. Mahalo nui loa!!

Super quick and easy!! My wife and I were getting our COVID tests and our appointments were 30 mins apart and they managed to get us in at the same time so we wouldn’t have to wait, which was lovely:)

Thank you!!! We booked online for the NAAT Test. The wait time was less than an hour for two of us. The whole process was efficient and the Team was efficient and professional as well. Results and a hard copy in 15 minutes. Sad to go home but would highly recommend this location for testing.

Everything was good EXCEPT THE COST. It cost us 270 dollars Canadian each to get tested. We heard after we got our test that there were free tests in several places in Maui that we could have taken. It was shocking to get the bill. Double the amount we paid in Canada to have the test done

- Verified patient on 12/16

As long as you have appointment the process was perfect They will need to find a way to ramp up availability of testing as it’s booked immediately

- Verified patient on 11/26

Booking process was confusing being Canadian, it won’t take our address given we use a postal code vs a zip code, and it doesn’t allow for our provinces along with your states, so we have to use a US state and fake zip code to complete the booking. We had to get up at 12:01 am to get a COVID booking time, which suggests Maui generally is not equipped for the surge of tourists requiring these tests to travel. Given it is likely Canadians for the most part requiring these tests, some alternations to your website/booking process would make it much easier. Other than that, when we finally arrived the process was excellent, reason and the turn around time probably the best in Maui vs what I have heard with the other providers.

I used the travel on call COVID test. Michael was quick, responsive, friendly and convenient. Thank you.

We were provided with excellent communication, and efficient service on Nov 27 at your Wailea HI facility for our NAAT test.

For an unpleasant experience they definitely made it great. We are flying home to Canada and got our tests done here. They are very organized and knowledgeable. Their security guard is amazing and helping everyone that comes over. We booked our appointments and they were slightly behind but the fact that you get your results while you wait there(20ish min) is great!

Testing site was efficiently set up and although I was early, I was finished with the test in less than 15 minutes. My test results were received in about one hour. Staff was helpful and friendly.

- Verified patient on 12/24

The person that helped me was cordial and professional. Although I have taken the test before at another location, and with the exception of no line of cars before me, the check-in process mirrored my other visit. The information to confirm my identity and meeting time was promptly and politely requested upon arrival. Also, every part of the procedure was clearly explained prior to each action.

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
