Booked my appointment last night on line. I Followed the instructions I received. I arrived at the facility and checked in on the phone and the young lady at the desk reviewed and finished my check in. So quick and easy. I went right in and saw Kelsey. She was extremely thorough and asked a ton of questions to ensure I received the correct care. All staff members were friendly and caring. I was in and out very quickly which was all that was needed for a UTI. I live 6 minutes away.  By the time I got home, I had confirmation from my pharmacy that they had my prescription, my receipt of payment, a message from Kelsey confirming what she sent to the pharmacy and this survey. 40 minutes from the time I entered the facility u til I was sitting 9n my couch. Amazing! I have recommended Urgent Care in the past and will continue. Thanks so much!

The check in computer machines were too complicated for Senior Citizens and individuals who are not computer savvy.  We had to use several check in machines to check in. The receptionist had to use two machines before she could check us in. Staff was very nice.

Overview of STD Testing in Asbury Park

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, especially if they have multiple partners or are not consistently using protection. Certain groups may be at a higher risk, such as those with a history of previous STDs, men who have sex with men, and individuals who inject drugs. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested as STDs can have severe effects on the baby. Regular testing is crucial as many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they present no symptoms, but can still cause long-term health issues if left untreated.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a critical aspect of maintaining good sexual health. Early detection can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Moreover, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to others. According to the CDC, many STDs are curable, and all are treatable, making early detection and treatment essential.
