The front staff and medical assistant were very nice. They always have a short wait time which is a plus. However the physician I had was clearly in a rush and not really interested in listening to me concerns. She also called in my prescription under the wrong name and it took over an hour to sort it out at the pharmacy.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus, either through sexual contact, sharing needles, or from an infected mother to her newborn during childbirth, should get tested. Those with a history of long-term, chronic liver disease, or who are on kidney dialysis, should also consider testing. In addition, people born in regions with high rates of hepatitis, such as Asia and Africa, or those who have traveled to these regions, should get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. First, early detection can prevent the spread of the virus to others. Second, it allows for immediate treatment, which can prevent or delay the onset of serious liver disease. According to the CDC, chronic hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to liver cirrhosis or liver cancer, both of which can be fatal.
