I was a walk-in patient and got right in. Processing was quick. The rooms are clean, the front office filled with sunlight, very inviting. The care was complete and all of my concerns were heard. The PA, Ann Marie, was very good, I will go back again.

Exceptional Medical Care by Armando and the American Family Care Urgent Care Team I am writing this review with great pleasure to express my heartfelt appreciation to the team at American Family Care Urgent Care, and especially to Armando, for the outstanding medical care they provided to my mother during her visit to the urgent care unit. Armando demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and empathy throughout the process. His skill in using the EKG machine and drawing blood was notable, performing both procedures with such precision and care that my mother felt entirely at ease and secure throughout the process. His ability to communicate clearly and explain each step of the procedure, his patience, and his dedication to my mother's comfort were truly impressive. In addition, I'd like to highlight the overall care we received at the urgent care unit. The team was efficient, compassionate, and highly professional. We felt supported and cared for throughout our stay, which is testament to the culture of excellence they have cultivated at the clinic. I wish to thank Armando and the entire team at American Family Care Urgent Care for their commitment to high-quality healthcare and for their dedication to patients' comfort and wellbeing. It's rare to find a team so dedicated and passionate about their work. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking quality urgent care. Thank you, Armando, and thank you to the American Family Care Urgent Care team for making a difference in my mother's life!

I recently had a disappointing experience at Next Care Urgent Care that I feel compelled to share. Upon arrival, the check-in process was marred by the attitude of the front office staff. Their rudeness was palpable and made an already stressful situation even more uncomfortable. Instead of providing a welcoming atmosphere, their dismissive behavior left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. It's unfortunate that the first point of contact at the facility was so negative, overshadowing the rest of our visit. I hope management addresses this issue, as customer service is crucial in a healthcare setting.

Overview of STD Testing in Aurora

Who should get tested for STDs?

Everyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, particularly if they have multiple partners, are under the age of 25, or are men who have sex with men. This recommendation is in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) guidelines. It is also important for pregnant women to get tested since certain STDs can have serious health impacts on both the mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not show symptoms, so without testing, it's impossible to know if you're infected. Secondly, untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Lastly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to others.

Prevalence of STDs in Aurora

According to the CDC, the prevalence of STDs in Aurora, CO, is on par with the national average. However, there has been a slight upward trend in recent years. Compared to nearby cities like Denver and Glendale, Aurora has a slightly lower rate of STDs. But compared to nearby counties like Carbon County and Phillips County, Aurora has a higher rate.

Risk factors related to STDs in Aurora

Several risk factors contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Aurora. These include a high rate of unprotected sex, multiple sexual partners, and a lack of regular testing. Additionally, certain demographic groups, such as young adults and men who have sex with men, are at a higher risk. Efforts to educate the public about safe sex practices and the importance of regular testing are crucial in reducing the prevalence of STDs in the city.
